malfunction (rare)

Do you have an idea for a card ? Do you want a tweak on existing voodoo cards? Perhaps you even want one of them removed? This is where you can post your suggestion.

malfunction (rare)

this card influences the att point of a fleet.
it can be stacked twice
8 turns
duration 12 hours

select target fleet: ....
select attribute (Round Shot, Bronze Cannon, Copper Plating, Iron Scantling or Double Hammocks, Cotton Sails)

the selected fleet will have a 2 to 4 point reduction of the targeted attribute.
(the exact reduction is random)

e.g. when all ships in the fleet have Bronze cannons on 10 then than this card lowers them to 6,7 or 8
a second card can either lower this a bit more or attack a different attribute.

What do you mean, duration? You mean cooldown between cast is it?
Stacked 2 times? You mean it can be cast on one fleet 2 times only between the cooldown?

the effect of the reduction is only temporary after those 12 hours the att points return to what they really are. No points are destroyed, only temporary de-activated.
it's not a cool down time,

Is this against a fleet or ship. If fleet (as stated in the card), does it randomly select a ship as well. Also if it is against a fleet and not just a ship, I would suggest maybe allowing a stack of 3.

i would say against all ships in the fleet. each ship get a 2-4 reduction.
for that reason i decided on only stack of 2.
but i am open for suggestions

no, sabotage removes a random point permanently, this card lowers an specific attribute a few points for a limited period of time.

what happens if it removes more points then what are there? does it zero out or can it go into the negatives? Would be quite hilarious if you manage to get round shot into the negative and their cannonballs actually patches your ships up :D

didn't think about that, negative speed from cotton sails is also not advisable. :$ :PP
