Currently Iron and tools best profitable routes for normal trades.
Rum food and tobacco worst profitable routes for normal trades thats why they have party cards. Also necessary materials for goldsmithing.
Wood Iron Tools and Cotton ship building materials. Also all of them hideout building materials beside cotton.
Thats why i dont think we need to increase popularity of iron since it has already a lot of uses.
http://s2.piratesglory.com/index.php?pa ... n=overviewAs you can see iron 2x more popular than any other products.

Good concept but I agree that iron has enough uses. To modify your suggestion, how about a textile mill that demands cotton for better sails, more comfortable hammocks, stronger fishing nets and other possible perks as a hideout building ?

Aye, good suggestion. I think this would fall under a port building though. Either way really. I am on a "port building" train of thought right now with some proposed updates coming.

Though seriously. There is no high domestic need for iron. It just would not make sense.
Its like a copy of Goldsmith but party cards?
A hideout building doesn't sound right anyways. A knockoff of goldsmith.
