Heres an idea I thought of when thinking of bank loans, now I know that some nations have loan insurance but not all of them do, so heres an idea I had

Card- Loan shark
Turns-5
Description- 100% pierce. Bank owner target player who owes a loan to him/her.(must be past due) target player loses the gold owed out of treasury, if not enough to pay debt, up to 3 ships can be taken that are not in fleet, if all ships are in fleet then 1 random ship in tail of fleet is taken instead


I figure this would be good for a bank owner to cash in on an inactive who never payed their loan. tell me what you think.

I'm not a banker and don't plan on doing it anytime soon but I believe that choosing who receives your money is a great part of being a good financier. Most bankers in Avonmora have enough money to pay off any loan they give 100x.

The card, however, seems to be balanced but you forgot one thing: the rarity.

Very interesting card but what if the inactive player has no money and no ships? (Because over time the player lost all there ships) Then what will the user of the card get?

right forgot about rarity, I say make it rare since most people are not bankers, or make it common and non bankers can use gris gris on them when they have a bunch. as for if the target player has nothing.... maybe make it to where the card just gives you 25k gold the minimum loan amount, just so you get something for your trouble.

I have a few dupts of this card.. what if a banker freeze the loan to steal ships?

i would add that it would have to be an active loan and that it has to be x amount of debt on the loan
there should also be a time limit to where the player has 24hrs or something like that to pay back the debt or the ships will be taken or the money out of the treasury

yeah I mentioned in first post that the loan has to be overdue for the card to be used, and maybe a period of grace would be useful also, like when used the player will be notified they have a day to pay off or the loan shark will come.
