might i suggest a proportionate increase in the ship building cost. like maybe 10% (or whatever percentage) increase across the board, to take into account the value of the ship. An extra 10k might seem like a lot (around 2x?) for a cutter, but peanuts if you're building a ship of the line.

Then I might suggest, If we are making a new edition to these cards, Lets have these theives be hired thugs.

I like this card idea very very much. I would be happy with a flat +10k cost or a % cost- remember you can stack it up to 3 times.

Theives of Trade or thieves of skilled laborers
It is the ship builders whom are stealing for the voodoo caster.
The Rewards card is as a way to take money/time from other players. This could be for inner guild transfers and casting on other player characters.

10K isnt really that much if you are going to build a sotl....
Maybe if it increased amount of resources needed by 2x the amount for 72 hours?

This card would be good for moderately slowing down small ship builders but doesn't affect the larger ships since they are so much more expensive than 10k or 30k.
I like the idea, Grant, but card that increases the resources used sounds like it should be an additional card suggestion. A strategic player could use both Theives of Trade and your idea to slow down both small and large ship builders.
