Barricade - Plague Doctor - Municipal Plague Doctor have all been MERGED by the Voodoo Team. These suggestions have similar effects. We would like to try to combine them into one good idea for a Port Voodoo.

Your feedback would be helpful.

I think a card that is simply a mindbar for ports would be nice. Perhaps with only 50% block chance, as opposed to the 75% of a "personal" mindbar.

Such a card would have both offensive and defensive applications.

could you either put he three suggestions up in their latest forms so that i (we) can see the differences or post the combined concept up. it's a bit easier to give feedback when we have some overview

a port protection is a must when spiders are running wild :)
but the nation missions should go on unhindered; at least for a while. is it possible that players can cast TI and BD's unhindered as long as they never reached the rank of Marquise. once they've reached that rank for the first time their TI's and BD's are no longer 100% piercing.

further a port mindbar will be used for port takeovers; and an action with this card and the defensive party has a hard time countering this. therefore i would like to suggest that there is a percentual difference in blocking power between portholders and players from other nations. e.g. a port-mindbar blocks 60% of all incoming voodoo but only 40% from the top 10 influence players.

I disagree with the last part, Maha. The effect should be equal to all. This card can be used in many ways.

As for a "newbie protection": At first it may sound like a good idea, but you know how we'd do this: We'd keep a player who never advanced to Marquess, to be able to bypass this and use black death or transport immigrants. People doing nation missions will either have to wait (this card must be so expensive that it is only used occasionally), or cast enough curses to bypass the "port mindbar".

Allowances make no sense, if you can just adjust your stature to dodge the card it becomes worthless. Or as haron suggests hire someone how is able to do it.

You can also now move population by ship. For nation missions.

i agree to that, that's why i suggested a newbee help. how many bd's, TI's are needed to become marquis? make it that the first 10 of each (or whatever the exact number is) are 100% piercing. that will stop 955 of abusing the noob-protection.

also just think 2 years from now where 500+ players have witchhuts. ports could become the focal port of attack and this mindbar would become a permanent feature on ports, nullifying offensive legendary cards that others choose as part of there arsenal.

I'm not sure I like this idea. I would prefer a port purify rather than a port mindbar...
