Lost in the Sea

Do you have an idea for a card ? Do you want a tweak on existing voodoo cards? Perhaps you even want one of them removed? This is where you can post your suggestion.

Lost in the Sea

Postby Ciel Phantomhive » Sun Feb 16, 2014 3:05 am

Curse name : Lost in the Sea
Amount of turns : 3-5
Rarity : Common
Curse effect : Change a moving fleet's course to a port targeted. The travel time may remain the same as time to first fleet departure port to port targeted by 'Lost in the Sea' (I.e. Let's say A's fleet is moving from Tortuga to Tzogos. B casted 'Lost in the Sea' and changed it's course to Aiora. Hence the fleet's time to arrive at Aiora is equal to the time for the fleet to travel Tortuga-Aiora)

Interesting Idea, powerful if used correctly, I like it.

I do think it should be an uncommon curse though.

I can see that. Either way common or uncommon, good idea.

Already exist. Called Flying Dutchman.

If you're talking about moving another person's ship to a port, I'm not sure how that would be a card that's fair. Might be a little bit too much power for a voodoo card.

Change Course

Postby Lion » Tue Mar 04, 2014 5:44 am

I think that there should be a future added in that allows you to change the course of your fleet in the middle of traveling. I find that when I accidentally click the wrong thing I wish I could change course to a different place in the middle instead of having to wait to get to the port and then go to the port I wanted to go to originally.

I prefer Common rarity because majority of players probably only use the card for moving their fleets to right port if they misclicked. But if used correctly along with appropriate cards I agree the card might have same power as Uncommon ones.

If this is common it will easily be abused to the point where if someone is under attack with natives, they can and will have so many to constantly redirect to longer routes for their trade fleets. This card in general is overpowered but it's not helping when it is common. If the card is not uncommon then I strongly disagree with it being approved and implemented.
