When a countercurse card cancels a curse, who is notified that it was consumed? Is the person who has the countercurse active notified? What if I cas countercurse on someone else and it is consumed? In that case I don't think I should get a message but the player I cast it on and the player who's card was countered should know.
What do you think?

For all curses, the CASTER and the VICTIM are notified.
The OWNER(initial caster) is not notified. This is not a flaw though; we will add a big quest which upon completion will award you with your own parrot! The parrot will then inform you of various things, such as the dispel of your voodoo card and also by whom.
Currently, the only way to know if your curse is still active, is to check your active curses page.

So if I cast it on someone other than me and it blocks a curse, am I the "caster" who gets notified?
Or is the caster the one sending the curse that is countered?

Owner = The person that holds an enchantment.
Countercurse is an enchantment. Here is the whole process for countercurse(also applies to all enchantments).
Player A casts Countercurse on Player B.
Player A sees in his casting screen the success message.
Player B sees in his news feed that Player A casted countercurse on him.
Let's suppose 2 scenarios now:
Scenario A)
Player B casts Piracy on himself.
Player B sees in his casting screen that countercurse has blocked Piracy.
Player A sees nothing.
Scenatio B)
Player C casts Piracy on player B.
Player C sees in his casting screen that his curser on Player B has been blocked by Countercurse.
Player B sees that Player C tried to cast Piracy on him but it failed due to Countercurse.
Player A sees nothing.
With the Parrot feature, in both scenarios, Player A will receive a news event that his enchantment (in this case Countercurse) is no longer active and the reason it is not active (Purify / Serenity). In case of countercurse and other self-consuming future cards, there will be a different message such as (Your Countercurse has prevented Player C from casting Piracy on Player B).

I see how it works- thanks for the explanation.
However scenario B happened to me (I am player B). I didn't get a message on my news page that a curse from player C was blocked by the countercurse from player A. My news shows I had countercurse cast on me and then 13 hours another curse was cast on me but no mention of what became of countercurse.

You didn't get the message "Player C tried to cast Piracy on you but failed" ? Something like this.

I didn't get any message saying "someone cast something on you but failed". The Countercurse was gone 13 hours after it was cast on me by another player.
