~~~~~~~***CREDITS EXCHANGE GUIDE***~~~~~~~
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Read only BOLD for quick read. Read everything only if you want details.
-Every credit bought, enters the game circulation and it is not removed before someone buys a booster voodoo pack or buys turns from the game. Credits are also removed on large scale trades (as fees) and in some buildings but the volume should be insignificant. This is the most important thing to keep in mind if you want to make a profit at the credits exchange as with this in mind you can predict credits price.
Simply put, the MORE credits in circulation, the lower their price will be.
KEY factors that affect credit prices:
  • Game special offers
  • Whenever the game puts a special offer, many tend to grab the opportunity (for good reason). This however results in a sudden increase of available credits which lowers their demand. As a result, prices drop.
  • Prolonged peace periods
  • War is the father of all, Heraclitus said and with good reason. With no war, no one really wants to spend credits on voodoo. Since voodoo is the number one reason to take credits out of the game, prices drop. This happens gradually and over time.
  • Wars
  • As a direct opposite to what I just wrote, war will increase credits prices. Wars create spikes of demand in credits so most probably these price drops will not be carried. The more players that involve themselves to a way,the bigger the spike will be. War duration is very important and most probably a prolonged war could turn the table at credits exchange. So, next time you see a Port war, or god forbid a war between 2 guilds, better stay away from the market.
These are most important for serious traders and most probably only for bankers who are allowed to place large sums at the exchange.
Or for those that want to... manipulate the market. (It's funny)
Margin of Profit
The margin of profit is the difference between sale and buy price of credits at the market.
When you trade for profit, you need to keep in mind the minimum profit you make for every completed sale.
A completed sale is when you buy 1 credit and then sell this 1 credit.
When you trade up to 200k, then the market fees for a completed sale are up to 1k (at 200k). So, you should target to a minimum Margin of Profit of 2k
Limitations
If you have no bank, you are limited to 25M sale and 25M buy at the same time. With a bank, you can rise this to 5M per level. So, if you do not have a bank, you need more activity to succeed.
Limitations play a role on defining your minimum margin of profit.
For example, with current prices, a bank can make about 850 completed sales at a single time, whereas a player without a bank can do about 180. This means that a banker can make at least 1.7M (with 2k) whereas a non-banker can make about 350k.
So, it is only natural to use slightly broader margins to increase your profits (and justify the risk). Even with a reasonable 5k margin of profit, you can make about 720k clean profit at 1 go, meaning that you will spend only a few minutes to do this. How many fleets you need to score the same amount of profit in 1 day?
Here is a working example for everyone, utilizing the info above.
Credits available for you to buy at: 145k
Credits available for you to sell at: 135k
The margin of profit is 10k. Minus the 1k for fees (actuall less but always use 1k to resolve fast). That's 9k of possible profit. We will go for 7k, to keep risk really low.
1.Place 10 credits at 136k and click on Buy. This will cost 1,360,000
2.Place 10 credits at 144k and click on Sell. A total of 10 credits will be removed.
3.Wait till both offers are consumed by the rest.
Once both clear, the result will be a nice 83,278 gold coins at your pocket.
