Starting Guide in Pirates Glory

The PRO way

1.Prepare your fleet
-Click on Headquarters.
-Click on Create Fleet
-Add your ship in the fleet
-Click on the ship
-Sell the cannons
-Hire max crew
-Put 5 attributes in Cotton Sails

2.Setup your headquarters on a wood port
The wood ports are Kanoni, Aiora and Prote. For this guide, I will use Prote as it is the best for newcomers.
If your starting port isn't Prote:
-Click on the Port name at the top right screen (at the earth icon)
-Click on Prote.
-Click on bring a fleet here, select your fleet and move fleet.
-Click on INSTANT travel at the screen that pops up.

3.Build a warehouse
-Make sure you are in Prote.
-Click on Market->View Warehouse->Build it

4.Make some easy gold
If you started as a Merchant, SKIP this step.
-Click on Court
-Click Work as a Porter
-Work as a porter for 50 turns.

5.Move resources to your warehouse, to build a ship

IF you have a HOWKER:
-Load 60 crates of wood into your ship (click market, select 60 wood and then clcik on buy and store in ship)
-Then head your ship to Regis (click headquarters, new destination, select regis). Instant Travel this trip too.
-Sell 60 crates of wood and buy 60 Iron crates.
-Move to Vaasburg. Instant Travel again.
-Sell 20 crates of iron, buy 20 crates of tools.
-Head Back to Prote, store all resources to warehouse.
-Then head to Caspian with 60 wood, sell it there. Fill up your ship with 60 crates of cotton.
-Return to Prote and store it in your warehouse.

If you have a Sloop or Cutter:
Use the guide above with half values (30 instead of 60, 20 instead of forty, 10 instead of 20) at every case.

***PLAY IT SAFE FORMULA FOR YOU***
I have created a formula to help you play it safe while taking this dangerous guide. It is safe for newbies-only; if you are an advanced player read the plunder page as this will not work for you.
Your gold treasury at every case must be:
1000 X Your_current_fleet_danger/18 (round this up if danger-18 is 3 or more) + 1500 gold coins
This means, if your fleet danger is 24:
1000 X 2 (1.33 is rounded up as 24-18 >= 3) + 1500 = 3500 gold coins
So, you must have at least 3500 gold coins if your fleet danger is 24.

To see your fleet danger, click on Headquarters.

6*.Build your first SHIP
If you do NOT have 10200 gold coins + play_it_safe_amount, SKIP to step 8. Come back here once you got this amount of gold
-Click on Market (in Prote)
-Buy 80 wood and store it in warehouse.
-Click on Shipwright
-Build a Howker (Hire a captain first)
-Once you build a ship, Keep your gold above the play it safe amount at any given time! Or be sorry and lose your ship.

7*.Add the new ship into your existing fleet
-Click on HeadQuarters
-Click on your fleet
-Add the ship (make sure to put cotton sails at 5 and full crew)

8.Create your first trade route
-Go to Market
-Setup Auto Trade Route
-Select Vaasburg - Regis

9.Exploit your trade route
-Go to Headquarters and click instant travel.
-Repeat instant travel.
-Sometimes, you will need to wait for the trade route (preparing for trade route). Click on headquarters after some seconds till this is gone.
-Repeat instant travel.
-Consume ALL your turns this way.
-Remember to add a second and third ship when you can but play it safe (ship cost + play it safe amount. You should be able to build your first ship once you have approximately 15 000 gold coins.)

10.Stop the Trade route and wait
-Click on Headquarters, click on fleet and then click on terminate trade route.

Why wait?
-Because you earn 1 turn per 10 minutes and you should be out of turns! Plus...
-Your fleet should have a double digit danger value. This means OTHER players WILL attack you.
-So, you need to let the danger drop both normally and through attacks.
-In order not to lose your ship, you should have at least the safe amount I mentioned earlier.

What's next?
-Here you learned the basic way to earn your first gold in an aggressive way. From now on, you choose. If you want my advice, join up a guild while waiting for turns. They will help your next steps in a much better way than you could do yourself.

If you prefer to play it on your own, then just create more ships for new trade routes.

Remember:
-Every trade route you will create from now on, should last at least 1 hour from port to port. Do NOT fasten again. This will keep your fleet hidden from the plunder screen...
-To control fleet speed,adjust ship crew of your slowest ship in fleet.

You need to specifically explain how danger works. -1 per hour +1 per port visited. Anything over a 2 and you get to meet Captain Nemo.

Keep helping guides coming everyone ;) We could use them GREATLY in order to create the newcomer missions.

Btw, in case you haven't noticed the changelog, after reading this guide, we improved the instant fleet / trade route time. Most of the time, there will be no waiting time.
