Message missing

I got a message from another player. I then replied to that, and the player sent me another message. However, now the message I had sent as a reply was gone from the chat. The other player confirms that he received and read that reply, but it is missing from his chat as well. All our other messages are still there.

I've had that happen too!
Sometimes when I have written a message and hit send, a lot of the text is gone ..that's happened about 3 or 4 times recently.

Interestingly enough, I have similar problems with my phone when sending an ordinary text, and the fix is the same.

1. Re-connect to the internet (this only applies to PG)

2. Re-launch your browser

3. Restart your device

4. If none of that works try on a different device

For me, the problem goes away simply by logging out and then back in of PG, but who knows how it will work for you.

I do not think these are the same bugs.

Yes, I too have had messages disappear, as in not being sent, before. This time, however, the message WAS sent. As was confirmed by the recipient. But it disappeared from the chat log after he sent me a new message.

I am. However this was a NEW message. Also, my subsequent message in the same chat stayed like it should. And it also disappeared for my opponent in his chat.

So I do not think that is enough to explain why this happened, although it could be a factor.

I think that unless you save the message to your outbox, if the recipient deletes the message, the message will disappear for both users. I could be mistaken.
