I found one of VegaPunk's chests in a treasure hunt, and a message said "you've found a big chest!" and I clicked on the dialogue option, something like "let's see what we got...". It then just took me back to the treasure hunt screen and only consumed half of the turns I had invested and used to find Vega's chest. It didn't give me any gold. Then I used the remaining half of the turns I had already used and gotten back? and got a nice 1.5 mil NPC treasure. I've brought this up before and never got an answer I believe.

Have you considered checking your treasure hunt log?

Didn't know that was a thing, haha. I got 242 from his treasure but it didn't tell me that and didn't consume all the turns, does the system only use the turns it has to to uncover the treasure? I thought it was all of your turns for one search.
