If they are not lvl 10 then 2 LFs lvl 10 paired with cheaper ships like sloop of wars or just sloops can easily defeat fleet of 5 SotLs on lower levels. Also you need to take in consideration attribute points set up....

Aye, Levels of ships, ATT Points of ships, ATT Stacking of ships and TECH all play a big role.
But don't forget too. The 1d20 die roll during each round of attack. This can be a make or break situation
If you had two identical fleet set ups, same TECH. The winner would be determined by the 1d20 roll.
