Treasure Amount

I dug up two treasures in.. a port.. and when I found each of them, it told me they were both player treasures. I opened them up and it told me I found a big chest but nothing before or after that as to what the gold amount was. I had to go into my past attempts log to be disappointed at the sight of over 250 turns stored resulting in 600 and change. Is there supposed to be an amount of how much you earned like their was when I last played actively or is this an update?

The problem is that you have not got to see the actual amount? Or that the amount is small?

At the first case, it sounds like a browser issue as I just did a Hunt with no issues.

Recently my treasure hunts have resulted in player chests with a single coin, even when there is a 50/50 chance for npc and player chests.

"Your port maximum treasure has been increased by -1,312,500"... 10 turns well spent!

That's reasonable. Player chests are hard to find. NPC chests are easier to find but contain less gold and its hard to focus solely on them.

This happens when there have been changes to the port treasure. Either because the player with the largest treasure there has recovered some of it or because someone has looted him/her or even worse, because the top treasure is currently under protection (it lasts up to 7 days) and the second largest treasure is used there.

At any case, it's a good move to always check this before going for an attempt. 10 turns option though sounds like an overkill.

Generally, we need some more improvements on the feature. We did some recently but more may be needed as it is currently too vicious for newcomers.

I found Treasure Hunting to be a total waste of time, effort and turns : the odds work against you and givne the arrival of banks, too few still bury their stash so there is less to be found anyway, save for whatever was buried by inactives pre-banks and thats a diminishing amount.

A far better use of the turns with a more reliable return rate is farming NPC's...

I concur, unfortunately. I found 800k once, and I remember seeing a report that one person dug up 9mill, but more often than not I end up with a handful of gold coins, or less. Granted, I have not invested a ton in treasure hunting, but my experiences so far do not encourage investing much more in doing so. I imagine I will anyway, just in case I am missing something or just to have someplace to throw extra turns I have no time to use.

Would be interesting to see this feature of the game improved on in the future though... ;)

I feel like it's playing the slot machines at a casino - you win just enough to keep you coming back.
