Nation Question Please

Hello, I am just trying to understand the macro aspects of the game. I understand the economic and military avenues, and political as well, with the exception of nations. Could someone please comment on the below questions I have, which may be helpful to others:

How does one become King of a nation?

Can any nation have a port eventually?

The Marquess with most influence in a nation becomes king.

A port is controlled by the nation that has the most total influence in that port (add the influence in the port for all members of the nation).

To be king you need to go trough all governor missions. Once when you attain rank of marquess Influence will determein further position in nation. If your nation doesn't have king once you become marquess on the upkeep you'll become king.

Yes every nation can have port but to take and keep port you need more players or huge stockpile of cards and gold coins even then you can't be sure that you will keep port.
