Do I lose captains?!?

When a newbie or newboy with less than 200 captains plunder a ship from me, do I lose the said captain which he gains, or not?

CDV told me not, but I want to make sure.

No. You lose the ship, but no captains. The captain gained by the newbie is generated by the game.

Oh, I always thought that they take it from me, it worries me when ever I hire new captains.
