Proposed Bank Regulations

Postby Captain Jack » Sun Aug 30, 2015 1:48 pm

It is true that we have made a poor job into creating an index of all existing bank regulations. It is also true that these grow too many in too little time. There are many restrictions already in various aspects which we will need to gather in the hard way now (either by playing the game or by reading the forums in past posts).

All existing restirctions/regulations we find, will be then added here: viewtopic.php?f=12&p=18280#p18280
For quicker finding in the future by each one of us. Forum moderators are kindly requested to edit the first post and help with the list compilation. With time, we will also add them at the in-game manual.

Meanwhile, I am also opening this topic, to gather all these new regulations/restristions that we need in the Banking system to make it clean, fair and operative.

List of Bank regulations in effect:

Send Payment Restrictions
  • Cannot send a payment to a player with less than 500 fame.
  • Cannot send a payment to a player that has not been active in the last 30 days.

Bank Accounts
  • 180 days inactive players will start losing 1% per day in all their bank accounts as long as their balance is greater than 1 million. If these accounts have less than 1 million, they will be removed immediately. (Funds are removed from the bank account but remain to the Bank)

Proposed restrictions:
-No one will be able to send a payment to a player that has not been active in the last 30 days.
-No one will be able to send a payment to a player with less than 100 fame.
-Bank accounts of inactive players will start losing 1% per day after a year of inactivity is reached. (This will be a logistical event, which means that the only loser is the player and the bank is the winner). Bank accounts with amounts less than 1 Million will be removed immediately.

If I understand this correctly, the accounts of inactive players will start losing 1% daily after 1 year, which in turn is credited to the bank - amounts with less than 1 million will immediately close the account with the funds being credited to the bank.

Is that correct?

Correct. All valid only for inactive accounts of a year or more.

So lets say SJB lefts 1-10 billion in SHM bank and goes inactive SHM would be getting 10-100 mill a day after a year that means in two years he would trash the account.

Move it up to 10% pls.

And what about the buried gold,an inactive pirate is as good as a dead one you know...split it with the active people/pirates only:
SR buries 50mill,Spain players get the money/the treasury
TPK buries 50 mill,Midway players get the money/the treasury
SHM buries 50 mill, tokeleu players get the money/the treasury
SST buries 50 mill,he is a pirate so the money doesn't go towards pirate who don't have tresury it goes to all the players in a nation.

INACTIVES only.

That's a good idea, but keep in mind, as buried treasure lies in the ground, the turns used to protect it deteriorate, and it can always be found by treasury hunters. I believe this has been discussed before, and the simple fact is that it can be dug up and found, whether players are active or not, left any further discussions to disburse buried treasure "buried."

(If pursued, buried treasure discussion probably needs it's own forum topic.)

Let's make it 180 days for the 1% drop for any amount.
At 365 days, accounts with less than 1 million are removed.
