As for guilds: It is stronly advisable for new players to join an existing guild, where they can learn and grow. Trying to making it on your own in Avonmora is not a good idea. Later, when you are experienced and stronger, you can consider if you wish to try to start a new guild on your own.

Welcome Highranker! I second the suggestions to join an established guild. Think about the type of play that you want to have in the game (building wealth as a trader, firing your cannons for plunder on the seas, forging deals between nations and guilds, etc.) and then select a guild that fits that style. If you have questions about what would be a good guild for your play style, message me or message the forums.
