I think a one world order would be kinda neat ! The vote count for leader would be quite the task however.

Things would be pretty much the same as it currently is but there would be a really big marketplace to buy/sell/manufacture/innovate. You like to build cars? just move to where they are building cars. You design software ? You get the picture.

Defense contracts would go out the window as there would be no one to fight against.

Yep...impossible dreams but... look at all the money we would save.

Of course there are problems with unmitigated immigration. Only a fool would say otherwise. But a blanket ban on it, restricting it to the favoured few, that brings its own problems also. The tendency to paint illegal immigrants as criminals, drug dealers, terrorists and sexual predators is not new nor specific to current day USA. It echoes similar sentiments expressed about Chinese immigration into both the USA and Europe at the turn of the century. It echoes sentiments directed at Irish immigration into the USA. Italian immigration. Russian and East European immigration. Jewish immigration had its opposition in the same terms. Now its Latin American immigration. 'Muslim' immigration.

It gets kinda samey. A whole cultural or etnic origin gets denigrated as 'criminal' on the flimsiest of evidence, evidence often little more than prejudice and fear whipped up by 'leaders' seeking votes.

The other aspect is that having painted a 'type' as criminal it legitimises prejudice against those who share those origins yet have lived legally for generations in the country. Witness the women detained and questioned after being overheard speaking Spanish at a gas station. Their families lived there before the USA ever took control of that land. But there you go. It could be asked fairly, who are the illegal immigrants in truth?

I don't agree with painting folks in certain groups as all bad, I just don't support unmitigated immigration like Blue apparently does. We need laws and enforced borders. I do admit we could do better in certain areas in regards to immigration, but I don't like the idea of just having open borders as like you said- that's just foolish.

Majority of drug traffic is via air and sea. Tunnels have also been used. The amount walked across is negligable. Building a wall hundred foot high will not reduce the amounts imported by more than a fraction.

Drug traffic has little need of folk walking a few kilos across the border knowing they will lose a big chunk of it, never mind the logistics of setting up the mules and collecting on the other side. Not when one light plane can carry half a tonne in one go, or a sea container move twenty.

now name the politicians who arent doing it for money
the great thing about trump is he was doing it for the fame and hes pretty patriotic
take biden a public servant all his life turned multi millionaire by selling out his country and made policies that hurt americans
trump has lost money while in office and will lose a tad more but is still a billionaire
he likes putting his name on everything and he left it in a spot it can never be erased (us history) his personal mission was accomplished
and his policies were by and large for the people and they benefitted minorities poor folks and rich alike
he introduced 1 policy i hate and several i dislike but when measured by totality he did an awesome job imagine what
he could have accomplished if the left would have embraced him he did so much with creativity in going around the opposition
the left made sure to set the future standard to make it a partisan brawl and non acceptance if the pres isnt in your party

well I don't know many politician but local politicians and also younger politicians tend to care more about their community than politics but the older politicians are in power and hold all the power so the younger low level politicians can do nothing. Maybe Boris Johnson because he got the CoronaVirus and had to recover for quite a bit. I dunno many politicians

according to you if a politician has gotten the rona they care more for their country
which contradicts your views on trump who has had the rona
unless catching the rona makes you sick and morally a better person as a side effect
the view is quite silly and contradicts any argument you have had on trump thus far

as for younger or older i prefer an older politician simply because in the current climate its all about your feelings
and young folks have tons of feelings
as you mature you realize feelings have less impact on reality than you as a youngster thinks they should

take what you just said to meliva

your feeling that there must be a reason has little effect on the fact needless innocents were killed
it doesnt change we have the tech and the intelligence gathering capabilities to literally choose the when where and payload of explosives

then their is snipers and abduction teams etc available from the different branches of our military

but strike all that because your feelings do not allow for mistakes to happen with those you choose to support
and in the same thought process your feelings condemn those you dont support

I said that because if a politician catches it and gets sick from it they realize hey it's real and deadly and appreciate the full danger of it. I also think that having at least a few politicians as younger 30-40 year old politicians is good as it brings a fresh perspective and possibly a new outlook on things. I'm also saying if there was no good reason to kill the terrorist then and there he would not have. I'm also saying I don't understand why a lot of people outside the US do not like him and also the media while he is so popular here

you dont like trump so you create data to support your feelings
where is your data that supports politicians who have had the rona suddenly change any current views they once had concerning the rona
if you have one example it still would not represent the sum of those who fit that bill

if you dont like what trump does he is a bumbling idiot again because you dont like him
but take obama someone you like and with no knowledge as to the why of the strike suddenly
obama did it so he must have had a reason and that makes the killing of innocents ok

however with obama who i voted for the first time he did little after the 1st year in my opinion
being my choice of candidates did not excuse him from responsibility and i reformed my opinion based on his actions

i wont comment what others love or hate about a politician as i havent seen any listing of everyone followed with their thoughts and seen any evidence offered from them
