I'm not telling you about my God. I'm telling you respect others point of view.. As I said, you can believe what you want, I have nothing against your beliefs. However, I do find your lack of respect towards others beliefs to be appalling. You want people to respect your belief, but you don't respect theirs. You are a hypocrite. If you don't understand how to be respectful while disagreeing with a point of view that is different than yours, you should just keep your mouth shut.

Furthermore, you interjected into their conversation. The conversation they had wasn't directed at you, you choose to get involved. That is your own choice. If you didn't like the conversation, you shouldn't have said anything.

A few points.....

#1 Finding something offensive or being offended, is a choice. Allowing another person to hurt your feelings or allowing someone to offend you is nothing short of self-imposed mental cruelty.

#2 Your choice to comment here on that self-imposed mental cruelty, only served to deepen that choice.

#3 Trying to stifle someone else opinion simply because you o not agree is akin to suppression of another's right to free thought.

No one was trying to impose their beliefs on you, no one set out to offend you, no one set out to debate you. They were simply stating an opinion based on their own personal experiences and beliefs. They are entitled to those opinions and beliefs just as you are.

i nearly got arrested for arguing with a street preacher once.
i was just trying to enjoy my breakfast in a cafe when he stood outside and started telling me i was a sinner and an evil man.

i thought i was fairly polite in asking that el babosa not bring his religion on here.
and he seemed to understand my point of view and apologised for doing so, all respect to him.
but it does seem to have spiralled out of control.

It's because he can read it. Therefore it must be directed toward him and is offensive. Grapefruit fails to understand the flaw in his logic.
