PEACEFUL TIMES

Some citizens of Avonmora have seen blood, shipwrecks, men becoming insane, losing their minds, wars over ports or just for a matter of gold... but some of them have lived worse than that.
For our happiness, this world is in peace once more. After bad times there will come good times and we are all expecting exactly that.
But.. what actually brought calm to these waters? During the Great war of Ports something happened and no one saw it coming. We will explain this further.
A Spanish citizen from Hannes, who goes by the name of Vasco Almarendez came to us, giving us important details about a mysterious but very powerful blackout that happened while cannons were being fired and ships were getting destroyed. No one noticed it because everyone, mistakenly, assumed it happened due to the cannon shots. These were his words:
- We call it an "eclipse" and we don't yet know the reason behind it: why it happens, how and when. It wasn't the first time we saw something like this but we certainly noticed something different: when it happened, some of the men slowly started to look at it, lowering their cutlasses and almost forgetting they were at war. Others just fainted, instantly, I couldn't take my eyes off the eclipse but I knew... that was what I've been waiting all my life to see. I have some... friends, who enjoy this kind of stuff too and we all talk about it, we all study it, we all learn everything about it. So then, I just fainted as well, in my house, next to the window. The last thing I remember was this huge and strong blackout penetrating my eyes and..... that was it. On the next day, when I woke up, the sky was as blue as the sea, a new Era started and it was all the eclipse's fault. I strongly believe that and I will someday prove it,
We, obviously had to ask the man why he thinks the Eclipse was the main reason the war stopped and why he was the only one able to remember all of this. This was his answer:
- "I'm not the only one that remembers this, they just prefer to think what they saw was due to the cannon powder on the air.. I'm pretty sure. I'm just the only one that accepts that we've been influenced by a stronger force, stronger than a Man of War' s cannons and people.... they just tend to refuse to believe it because they didn't choose it. The eclipse made them forget all of the bad stuff inside them. As you can see, there is no anger nor rage on the air anymore. You can't feel anything negative. At least for now, and I'm just glad!"
