for this to work, the upgrade points would be a bit up as well.
on average a ship gets about 2/3 of the max Att points. when max goes up 10, 1 extra point per even level (every other level) would be nice.

+1 for Harpoons on Sotl's and MoW's.

I am all for and really like this feature provided lesser ships do not receive the harpoon attribute.

I think "the hold", however, may be a good idea. As an extra attribute, not as a "special ability". Gives traders more benefits from levelling up their ships.

The only reason someone is casting Levi's on a SOLT or MoW is purely to "get back at" someone in my mind. Please fill me in for another reason. Levi's, in my experience, are used mainly to clear out a tail ship or two to get at those nice Capital Ships.

Harpoons would limit the "revenge hit" on those capital ships someone has invested some good resources in, but would not be available on lesser ships that pirates/privateers need to get out of the way for a good plunder.

This would make it less of a risk for some to sail those bigger ships more often, which we can all agree is much needed in this game.

I think the ability to do these "revenge hits" is a GOOD thing. I see the ability to hit back as a necessity. If someone is willing to spend the cost of a call levi to hurt me, I say they should be allowed to do so.

Also, an expedition journey fixes the damage, and is currently cheaper than a Levi. And because of expedition journey, a Levi on a level 10 large frigate is just a bad as a Levi on a level 10 Mow.

Expedition Journey can not remedy 10 x Levi's cast on someone's 60 Att sotl..

True. I still think the ability to strike at these ships for retribution purposes is vital to the game.

As proposed you would need to have hammocks at lvl 10 and harpoons at lvl 7 to get above a 50% chance to stop the leviathan. Thats 17 atts tied up, and 20 atts tied up to get full protection. That is a lot of trade off in other areas or a lot of mastercraftsman to get this protection.

Also you cannot revenge hit someones sotl or mow if no one is sailing one
