I changed this to March 2013. One of the reasons for the delay is that we redesigned the feature to something considerably large than the original idea.

However, what mostly played the role in delay is the activity rise (to about double the online people we had before) in the last 10 days. This forced us to re-code some parts of the game in order to ensure top-notch performance (although we are not overly worried, this is always one of our top priorities).

Favorable Winds was changed on Feb 23, 2013 to last 72 hours but the card graphic still says 24 hours.

Some info regarding the instant messenger:

There have been performance issues with the instant messenger since start. However, recently as the number of online players grows we discerned further problems.

We have worked extensively on the database lately, optimization of the messenger and beyond. We should not have any issues but some things were deemed important to ensure stability of the server and top notch performance. I have gathered the complete list of changes in regards to the previous state for your convenience:

-Instant messenger messages support up to 255 characters. You will no longer be able to send huge chunks of texts through the instant messenger. Use the messaging system instead.
-The same goes for instant messenger status.
-Chat history with other users is no longer available.
-Already opened instant messenger messages, now remain in the database for 3 days instead of 30.
-Not opened instant messenger messages, now remain in the database for 7 days instead of 60.

In fact, it is a small degradation of service for a huge improvement in performance in response.

In the future, we will create instant messenger chat history of up to 1 year. We just need to create a new interface and script that will run a lot faster than the current one and will not stress our server. It has gotten a low priority as there are other more important things to do right now.

Merchants rejoice, we have just reformed trade routes interface. Here is all new elements in detail:
->You can now pause a trade route.
Paused trade routes will dock at the next port they reach. They won't resume their route till it is activated again.
You can use the fleet for other operations normally.

->You can now update ports when editing a trade route.
This was not possible before. It now is. The fleet will update to the new trade route once it reaches current destination. There is no radio/mobile phones to tell them to switch while they are in the open sea :P

->You can mass edit/terminate/pause activate trade routes
Whether you want to update 1 or 2 or 20, there is no problem! There is a limit of up 20 trade routes per time.

->Interface improvement to list them in pages.
Every page will list up to 20 routes. There are nice icons to guide you through.
You can also order them as you like for quicker/easier/handier adjustments.

More improvements coming soon...
We got more planned. You can use suggestion thread for your ideas.

Also, on a slightly different front, we have been working really hard in the background lately, with lots of improvements that are not visible to your eyes. Just a simple reference on what we have been mostly doing lately (reasoning our delay in Treasure Hunt feature too).

Greetings everyone,

In today's update we have improved some things you can actually see, in contrary to the majority of updates we have been issuing lately.

On top of it, there is the ability to report a suspected danger manipulation with two simple clicks. Simply click on the relative button that now appears next to each battle, at the Tavern report. Especially for DR manipulation, the penalties can include a simple warning, danger reversal, danger reversal in double, danger reversal in 10, ships/fleets/gold/fame seizing and if this is a repeated issue and/or obvious cheating (even if it is the first time violation), then a permanent ban. Administration will take full responsibility in judging these cases and deciding the right penalties. All cases will be judged against the same set of internal rules and everyone will be treated equally against these internal rules. We will not share these rules but you may provide such in an open discussion if you feel like it. No attempted nurturing by anyone will be taken in mind when judging a situation and no nurturing will be tolerated once a decision has been made. For more details on administration policy in such issues, please read this.

We are also improving the way you can contact administration in multiple fronts. Soon you will have access to a new page where all your contact enquiries towards administration will be listed. Communication will be done through in-game messaging system mostly, from now on but for players that prefer email, this will be still available.

0.9.99: [Fix] Fixed a bug that allowed to keep attacking a player with 25 or less fame.

i heard stan got banned for pointing this out :(

That's incorrect. Stan got banned for not pointing it out after taking advantage of it.
