How about the removal of Sloops and Cutters? Do you all find it eually important to be carried fast?

For myself, I dont mind getting sloops or cutters : one can always find a use for the good ones as tails or fast packets : but a change which improves the chances of getting better than that would generate more enthusiasm for using the card.. so many end up on the market it does kinda indicate the credits gained are worth more than the potential prize from using it.

added : to show what I mean TW sells for about 10 credits in market : At current exchange rates, that probably over 1mil in coin : so, unless you got a good chance of getting a ship worth more than 1mil then you are better off just selling the card, not using it.

It's not only due to the card though. It is also a chore of getting rid of what most classify as rubbish. From the newcomer to the most experienced player and even administration (smaller database tablers, faster game, although okay, this is not even a case here).

I agree with Danik on part with TW card.

I wouldn't mind to see sloops and cutters reduced since we all use them mostly as tail ships...

And newcomers if they get lucky and get TW on the begging they can move up little better if they get trade galleon for example they can sell it and use that money for growth

Sloops and cutters where the backbone of the Royal Navy. Maybe rather then getting rid of them they could be upgraded to what they realy where. Fast agile fighters. Capeble of sinking heavy loaded Spanish War Galeon's. Hitting and damagin French Frigates. The favored ships among the privateers. No i dont think it would be vise to get rid of them. The game will loose parts of its credepility then

Redjack noone speaks of removing them from the game, we speak about removing them from the sea bottom like those 15K howkers so if we use TW card we have little bit better chance of getting higher value ships

I have a idea, Instead of both removing Cutters and Sloops from the sea Bottom ; How about we just remove Cutters? As we use Cutter's as Tail's all the time - Only a few ( That are very feared - Such as Boot ) do not have tails, even then no one hits them... Whilst Sloop's are slightly more expensive Ships : If I remember there value is around 350,000 whilst a cutter is worth 250,000 I would prefer a Sloop to a cutter whilst Casting Tidal Wave...

But, this is a suggestion : Remove high level Large Frigates/Sotls and mows from being able to be gotten via Tidal Wave - As 30 Million from one Tidal Wave is a bit overkill , I think for what Tidal Waves are ( Uncommon ) I feel the best of what they could bring in is a war Galleon, if that...

Whilst we could make another card that brings up ships from there sea Bottom - But instead of getting small Ships, it gets larger ships which are considered Frigate - MoW's of course, this would be a VERY RARE Card...

They are perfectly capable of doing this already.

1.6.18: King Fame Bonus and Romance Fame Bonus is only awarded to players having a daily cost (upkeep/tax) of at least 1 gold coin.


Right now, we speak about Tax costs, Crew and Cannon Upkeep. Loans debt do not fall into this.

Expect completely inactive players (or players with no ships) to stay at same fame everyday.
Someone who gets a daily fame increase, definitely has ships under his control although he may be inactive.
