I like this idea a lot : many is the day spent fruitlessly cruising the plunder pages looking for meaningful targets to be hitting : having a choice of the gossip page entries would really add some spice to matters : and I think 3 hits per day is reasonable. At first glance, Grants objection seems reasonable too, but then it would be a terrific waste of those 3 points when a handful of FOj's/HN's would light up that sort of target with 50 fleets to be hit : I like the 24hr cool-down on repeat hits as well, which would go some way to mitigating any 'bullying'.

I do think fame gain/loss has to be over-hauled : currently it takes no account of relative strength/value of fleets involved : I think some calculation, maybe involving fleet total hit points, should act on the fame % gained/lost : a lesser fleet defeating a nominally more powerful one deserves more fame than vice-versa : A sotl fleet beating up unarmed traders deserves little to none, IMO, it major 'meh, so what'-type event whereas an LMM fleet beating off a frig-led raider is a noteworthy 'wtf!'-type achievement and should be recognised as such in fame gained.

Yes, But I strongly encourage a soft start as you had mentioned 1 point for the first few days. Also you mention that this can happen once per fleet per day, but is there a max number that a person can experience in one day too?

With he above feature, 10 attacks on a player's capital fleet (who has 200 ships or more) can sink his base ship and then the other ships are unsafe. So unless some solution is found to this sink chance, I'm not voting. According to me, sink chance feature is just not good. It would be better to reduce that chance.

I also have a question : can u attack a fleet that is not moving and not visible in the gossip but is in the fame range ? And if a player is not in the specified fame range but satisfies all other conditions then can we attack him ?

I read it as once a fleet has been hit, it is safe for 24hrs from a similar attack : so, unless the target doesnt repair the tail ship after any attack, it would take 10 days to sink a lvl10 tail : but on thinking about it, a limit like the ambush one (10 per 24hr) might be good for stopping excessive use on one player.

If we are getting into the details, add this as a layer over existing voodoo stuff--hn's etc remain their same unrestricted self, but this second round of combat can exist with all its limits.

I really like to take into consideration fleet strength for fame calculation. EXCELLENT idea Danik, well done 8-)

We agree on:
-We start with 1 attack point a day.
-We will start with 0.5% of total gold stored.We will then see whether we need to increase this or not.
-We could impose a limit on how many such attacks a player can take but this can be worked later - this is why we can start with 1 attack point a day.

Regarding sink chance, you need lvl 2 tails. Players with 200 ships should have enough gold to afford this. After all, most big players run cutters on tail so the losses for them won't be insignificant.

I agree on a whole guild cooperating against you, so yes, make sure you do not piss a guild off. If you do, make sure your guild can defend you.

Fleet on gossip page and fame range are both criterias that must be met. If one fails, no attack will register.

As long as this is a separate, extra mechanic, and it does not effect, restrict, or cap normal voodoo/plundering/raiding in any way. Please Clarify this.

-Players will be able to attack any player that is within 50% of their fame range (up or down).
-Players will be able to attack fleets visible on the gossip page (of any port).
-The fleet chosen must still be on travel from current port (obviously).
-Normal danger penalties will be given.
-A fleet that has been attacked through Gossip Page, may not be targetted again for 24 hours with the same way.
This restriction will be affected (duration of protection) through player status (ie at nation/guild war) or skills. (I am giving extension ideas for later here).



can players with the 1000turns protection still be attacked

This should be disabled for new account players, while in 1000 turn protection they should not get this feature or be allowed to use it, this would discourage multi accounts further.

I Like the full idea and the suggestions of this being limited in several ways so as not to make it a free for all
