No, a responsible king and council will assist the citizens of a nation to grow as that, in turn, strengthens a nation. Only council can propose withdrawals of the national treasury however, every citizen gets to vote. The higher rank within a nation, the more your vote counts. Council can only disperse payments to citizens of its nation.

To enjoy the benefits of enhanced trade rates, I think you must achieve the rank of governor to get full benefit however, there is an explanation of it someplace. Click on your flag and have a look around ! It will be there someplace.

um, when the nation missions transition from sea monsters to named, portraited NPC characters, do you need to spend the extra 2 turns to plunder search for npc's, or is a regular, free plunder show the NPC mission target the way it did with sea monsters....

named targets, like Anne Bonny, etc, will appear for you in a port once you sign up for the mission : you just have to go find them, same as Bob and his siblings..

So I'm recent to South Africa for the express purpose of using the ridiculous tax rate, 250k per, and my switch to manual for tax payments to go pirate using the hostility build up for non payment. I'm over 12 hours now into the non payment of 11million which far exceeds the allowable max (only 100 gold) debt limit but I see no hostility buildup in my report.

Is it not going to show there or is the feature somehow disabled and I'm just spinning my wheels as it were?
