Throughout the 18th and 19th centuries the Royal Navy was the largest in the world, but until 1805 its forces were repeatedly matched or exceeded in numbers by a combination of enemies. Despite this it was able to maintain an almost uninterrupted ascendancy over its rivals through superiority in financing, tactics, training, organization, social cohesion, hygiene, dockyard facilities, logistical support and, from the middle of the 18th century, warship design and construction.

I, Lord Horatio Nelson, invite all subjects of the Commonwealth to enlist for naval service to defend the honor of our King. If you believe in fighting the good fight then join now!

My rules are simple:

"Firstly you must always implicitly obey orders, without attempting to form any opinion of your own regarding their propriety.

Secondly, you must consider every man your enemy who speaks ill of your king.

and thirdly you must hate your enemy as you hate the devil."

Thank you Black Sparrow, we are now officially eighty members. I may take this opportunity to also announce Jouga as a welcome addition to The Royal Navy. His presence will bind our members into a competent navy of the seas. Due to his experience and abilities it has been decided for him to be granted a rank of Commodore. He has been set some tasks to attend to and seems keen enough to fulfill them. Such promotions are granted to new experienced members who can bring some skill to The Royal Navy.

Congratulations Commodore Jouga.

These officers were promoted with the intention of strengthening the rank structure as The Royal Navy approaches 100 members. I urge all you newly promoted officers to represent The Royal Navy with great pride. You must remember that duty is the great business of a sea officer; all private considerations must give way to it, however painful it may be.

Congratulations to you all. God Bless you & Godspeed.

Sorry if I'm grave digging but this guy knew how to promote an alliance and how to properly use the Union of Honor.
Anyway, witness, this is the birth of TMN!

As you all know it is VERY rare that I post at all (I just read),
I saw the need to make a point that although it NEVER happens that I will agree with Roi leon. HOWEVER here IS that rare point. Heratio Nelson was AWESOME at promoting our guild through the early days before we were destroyed by PK and he was removed, also by PK. When I was Proudly ATOF of TMN I did my best to model after his lead that I had the pleasure of serving under. (and also not to grave dig), but I am proud to recall how Admiral Blackpants and I however in a losing effort took on that very same PK alone and made serious waves, Then in a collective tight-knitted unit of 5-6 players led by Admiral Blackpants, (Lord)Achilles and myself defeated what was then The Pirate Kings. (Skyhawk, Luffy, Pandah, WGD182 and 1 or 2 others that I don't believe exist anymore, in fact the only one of that bunch I have seen at all active is Luffy. (I have heard the Skyhawk checks in every so often as well)

Sorry for the "War Stories", but I thought the story was cool, and my point was that I actually agreed with Roi for once. (of course he truly hates me nowadays.)

Sincerely,

Capt. Johnny Walker
