Corrupt and draining the nation, I think not. That was another (former) English citizen and England has the records of such. This payment is pennies compared to what was invested and is simply for a modest rebuild.

Fire, what I did was in no way a personal move on neither you or the other citizens. It has been awhile since i've played and a quick decision on a play was executed without proper thought or consideration. For this I apologize. 250k per ship for every classe, but for council members, 25k .

So, you have, for example approximately 100 ships: daily taxes for 100 ships are 25M and for council members 2,5M.
Tell me, who can earn 25M of profits with 100 ships, only to pay taxes?
It's ridiculous!
Making this law England can lose all citizens in one day. Or, maybe there is a catch!
