i think that guild mates especially when one gets on someone nerve
they can challenge the said person to a dual
the battle would cost turns but not raise the danger level
no reward for the winner

why fight then? there has to be a gain for the winner. and... why fight a guild mate anyway? it will only make more hard feelings. this would be a good way to settle disputes between guilds, if both sides want to avoid a war. maybe if 2 players from opposite guilds want to go at it without dragging mates into a conflict, with no allowed retal from both sides. dunno.

your account isn't even a month old let alone 2 1/2 years. name dropping, especially the when you got kicked out of a certain guild after a couple of days, does not shed the most flattering of lights.

a very good idea in any event rasec. perhaps the winner can sail off with another person's ship or something, ala drag racing for pink slips.

if you want a duel with someone that bad, you have to make it worth it. maybe even wage influence points and fame? that way you can only duel players ofabout the same level as you, keeping people from taking advantage of it.

Duels would be interesting. You can do is one ship per duel. With them being the same type of ship. The playing in the duel can pick the ship type they are going to use. Dullest can pick what they can wager like a ship, gold, or fame. Kinda what other have said. Also we those who are watching can place a bet on the duelers. Like gold or fame.

there has to be something else to a duel, if its that way, the guy with the maxed out att points will always win, right? some strategie needs to be added to the battle .

This seems to be a topic Rasec is really interested in. To be honest, it kind of pecks at my attention.
If heavily stacked atts are of concern, why not have duels restricted to Cutters and Sloops?
Who is going to spend a lot of assets trying to max out a Cutter or a Sloop?
Definitely duel for pinks, but also make influence points or fame point part of it.
If you lost a dual it would only seem right that people would think less of you.
Perhaps the Captain of the loosing ship could go with the loosing ship.
And of course...no voodoo allowed.

Now, for the person that WOULD stack up a Cutter or Sloop,
have the dueling ships randomly selected from appointed fleets
with no ship carrying more than 12 cannons.

I could give this idea +1

if lose the captain also, that would put a sting to losing. there has to be a way where skull plays a big part, as well as random chance. im not a hot head, so i would probably be the last to duel, but what if its to settle an argument between guilds? this is where the guild would put up its "champion" to represent it. also, what if you want back at someone who led a raid on you or stole some ships? you can challenge him and put a ship, or watever you want down as a wager.
