I doubt you have ever held an AR-15, M4, M16, or variation. I have and have done so serving my country. His finger is clearly not on the Trigger.

You are right. i have not held an AR, m4, or M16.

Why would I? I use firearms for hunting only, not for shooting street antelope.

Ok so a few things:

1. An AR15 is not an assault rifle, it is a semi automatic rifle.
2. The trigger finger outside of the trigger well is how you hold a gun until you intend to shoot so that there is no "accidental" discharge. Mr. Firearms Certified, you should know that... thats one of the first thing they teach you, you didnt know that?
3. Why the hell would you chase a person carrying a gun yelling to skull him (?) then start attacking him on the ground? Thats just Darwinism at its finest, common sense people. He was running to the police, you got him on video, call the cops you are firebombing to arrest him.
4. The guy who got shot in the arm pulled a gun on him then the kid shot him.
5. It turns out he was there to protect business from being destroyed by the peaceful rioters , he was running away from the people who were attacking him.
6. Right after that altercation, he turned himself into the police and your theory is he went there to to shoot people and go to prison? Really? Think man...

I gotta say, for a 17 year old to have that much control in that situation with a group chasing you is crazy. I support that other guy having a gun too, however, the law states that you can defend yourself when your in fear for your life or to protect others when they are in direct danger not after the fact. You cant see someone shoot someone, follow them to their hotel room and shoot them... thats murder!

Chasing a person and attempting to shoot them on the ground is not "in fear", its almost as bad as shooting someone in the back and saying you were "in fear." The kid was running to the police. I feel really bad for him, to have to live the rest of his life knowing he took peoples lives is going to be horrible for him.

If he would have turned and went after the guy hitting him before that and then the guy who got shot pulled his pistol, he would be well within his rights. But what do i know, i have only held permits in multiple states most of my life

Why do some peoples eyes glaze over when the violence, looting and burning of people and their lively hoods goes unchecked for months and then cant BELIEVE that groups of people would have the audacity to stand together to protect that? Make all the witty quips you like your still Hypocrites!
