The only other option is to not vote at all, or vote for someone who has 0 chance in the election. Neither of which will have any lasting impact unless done on masse. Now folks could start a movement to try to do so, after all parties have come and gone before-while at the moment democrat and republican's are the main 2, it might not stay that way.

Now personally I don't bother voting as Kansas is a pretty deep red state, and I also tend to think of politics as more or less meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

Though if you look at history, it's almost always been this way. There has almost always been 2 main parties. First were the Federalists and democratic-replublicans, then feds died out and I think Whigs popped up, eventually the DR turned into just the dems I believe and republicans popped up a bit later.

Ultimately if folks just leave on masse to a third party, that will probably just shift the balance to that third party becoming one of the new 2.

Also, sometimes it's better to pick the lesser of 2 evils, then to not pick at all. Not always mind you, but take this case for example. I would rather trump be elected then Biden who I believe has dementia. Would I pick a third option that is better then both if I thought it was valid? Sure. Does that option actually exist at the moment? Not as far as I'm aware.

Mel is right. Sometimes you do have to pick the best of two evils, or pick a third party who will not win. It's unfortunate that it has to be this way. As I have mentioned before, it would be nice if we had more major political parties the way Norway does. That way at least you have more realistic options. I also like the way that Norway's parliamentary system works. Instead of it being "The majority of votes are democrat, so all the reps should be democrats", it's more like "45% of votes are for democrats, 40% are for Republicans, 10% are for the socialist party, and 5% are for the libertarian party, so 45% of the reps should be democrat, 40% should be republican, 10% should be Socialist, and 5% should be libertarian."

With something like that in place, what the people want will truly be voted in.

Again, history is a pretty good teacher. If you look at the history of presidents, no third party has EVER won the presidency. The president has always been elected from one of 2 main parties, the only exception being George Washington the first president, who funny enough warned against political parties and was never in one. After him the 2 main parties were Federalist and Democratic-Republican. After some time Feds died out and Whigs opposed the DR. Then eventually DR just became Democrats and short while later Republicans popped up. Now third parties have won lesser offices. But never came close to the presidency.

You have to admit, well i guess if your dont open your eyes, you dont have to see... but i digress. There has been a constant investigation against trump for how long now? And they havent found one thing. The best fake example i can give is:

When did we become so intellectually lazy to the point that some would rather elect a president that cant complete a full sentence and needs to be spoon fed questions, answers and im sure dinner... than someone who has actually helped the country?
