that is without a doubt one of the most ignorant, arrogant and idiotic things I have heard in ages.

What gives you the right to speak for every single tax paying citizen? Especially when you don't even pay taxes yet. Have you spoken personally to every single tax paying citizen? Do you have a superpower where you know what every single person cares about? If not, then you have no right to speak on behalf of an entire group of people. The amount of arrogance one would need to think they could do so is incredible.

Never mind, it was just an expression. Obviously every single Minnesotan isn't going to be happy with where that money is going, but I was trying to say that Minnesotans are much more likely to be happy about their money being used for welfare than most other states.

Don't be too harsh on him, Mel. I set him up on that question and he walked right into it because I knew what his answer would be.

Although he probably thought he was clever with his "I think you know the answer to that, Dez".

Fair point, though I tend to dislike when folks try to speak on behalf of an entire group. People are not a hivemind, just because you might be happy or upset with something, doesn't mean everyone else is. It's easily one of the most arrogant things a person can do, trying to speak on behalf on other's.

Yet you still speak on behalf on the majority. Still arrogant-you just made it slightly less so. Unless you have polls or other evidence that shows most Minnesotans are happy paying for welfare, you have no right to speak on behalf of the majority.

Note I said "more likely" not "Minnesotans don't care"

Sheesh

That's still a very arrogant assumption.

Learn to not say such arrogant things. Like I said- people are not a hivemind. It's very arrogant and frankly rude and insulting to speak on behalf of other's without their permission. To do so for an entire city, or race, or state or any other large group of people, is even more so.
