Blue, I absolutely agree with you. You should not spray peaceful protesters.

However, if the peaceful protesters are given legal orders and they dont follow them, if anything gets thrown at police or others, if lasers are pointed at eyes, if there is destruction to buildings, if they are vandalizing anything that belongs to someone else, then they are no peaceful protesters. Lastly, if there are peaceful protesters in with those who that are rioting, then they cant claim to be peaceful. It would be like someone sitting in a getaway car while another person robs a bank. Expect to get gassed!

If they truely want things to be peaceful to protest the very thing that EVERYONE already agrees with (so why are they protesting) then they should take back their protests and get the garbage rioters out of their protests. You say the other officers are guilty for not stopping the knee right?

I served my country for the right for people to protest, but those spoiled little middle to upper middle class opportunists who wish to destroy have done nothing but take, complain and try and dismantle. My respect goes to the protesters, not the rioters!

Hmm there were actually peaceful protesters, myself included. It's still peaceful if they are yelling at cops as long as they aren't being violent. Also the rioters hid behind the peacefuls physically and metaphorically. So it's not necessarily their fault if they seem to be in with the rioters.

Blue, if I went out to peacefully protest, and I notice some other folks who came along started to do things I don't approve of or doing something stupid like commiting crimes, I'm going to get the hell outta there before things get out of control and I get caught in the crossfire-why is common sense so uncommon these days? The fact that the peaceful protesters stayed despite rioters or other idiots starting to appear was bloody stupid. I would also condemn the rioters for ruining the peaceful protest, yet I have not seen many folks who went to protest publicly condemn the rioters-Hell you say you were a peaceful protestor and yet you DEFEND the rioters actions. Calling it a necessary evil, yet when folks start pointing out how stupid that is, and just how vile it is to say, you now instead opt to say well peaceful protestors shouldn't be targeted. You didn't even have the decency or courage to either admit you were wrong about it being a necessary evil, or to try to defend your point with logic and facts. So I have little sympathy for either side. Especially folks like you who try to justify evil and vile actions as a necessity. If they get gassed standing side by side with rioters and criminals, then they got what they deserved plain and simple.

I would say this again about the peaceful protesters (i do believe it started that way), if they are in the same place at the same time as the rioters, and the cops have to clear a dangerous situation, they dont have time to differentiate between the three that not throwing piss and concrete when their lives and welfare are in danger. They just want to go home to their families and are doing the job that the rest of the 98% of the population want them to do. I mean come on, 330 million people in US, 10,000 people rioting in Seattle, thats a 10,000/330,000,000 = .000030303% social movement...

If you dressed like a heathen, acting like a heathen and "protesting" with the heathens... dont act shocked to be treated like a heathen.

I actually have to hand it to the cops, these spoiled kids are playing a dangerous game, im shocked the cops haven't killed them. If they are so board they need to feel a part of something, join the military, build your community, start a charity, do something that will ACTUALLY make a contribution to humanity, this is just sad and pointless. All these people are doing now is moving the independents, moderate democrats, and libertarians further away from the democrat party.

Edit: Blue, i think the problem your having here is that with alot of us being a little older, we all have different opinions about life, love and the persute of happiness, but we all have enough life to know what we have done to help build this country and make it better. Then a bunch of people who havent done anything to make America a better place want to tear it down while reaping the benefits of the freedom it gives them... Guess what, if a person hasnt paid taxes, i dont want to hear his theory about tax reform... if a person just graduated with a degree in post modern yoga theory, (im not knocking it, i need someone to pore my coffee too) no one wants them to lecture on socialism and how evil Capitalism is then get in their German car bought by their CEO father as a grad gift

So just because she doesn't consider the buildings hers or her communities, it makes it fine to burn them down? That's completely idiotic. What if her neighbor considered the same damn thing for her house, should she be fine if she came home to see it burnt to the ground? I mean, her neighbor could use that same exact logic to justify it.

Those building's employ local folks, giving them jobs, which helps them provide for their families. Yet these rioting idiots can't seem to grasp just how stupid and evil their actions are. You do not destroy things that are not your property. You want to get attention for your cause? Feel free to burn down your own homes to draw attention.
