New hideout building

Brothel

Independent building in the hideout

- I would suggest admin to allot extra fields for this retroactively if it were to be implemented

Each ship that visits the port brings in a crew, the crew has certain needs. As they seek
fulfillment of such needs your receive income.


Income from crew


Each lvl returns 10 gc for each ship that docks in the port where your hideout is located,

Example - ship count varies with actual fleet actions of players - money is paid NPC

Level 1 - 10 gc x 3500 ships = 35,000 gc per day
Level 2 - 20 gc x 3500 ships = 70,000 gc per day
Level 20 - 200 gc x 3500 ships = 700,000 gc per day

In addition to the income

Special level bonuses - Crewman that visit the establishment tell to many secrets to the ladies.


At level 5 you get 1 random - Trade master report per day -only for a random player who has had a ship visit the port that day.

At level 10 you get 1 random - Spy network report per day - only for a random player who has had a ship visit the port that day.

At level 15 you are able to hire the ladies as spies to report information.

-Information can only be for a player who has had a ship visit the port that day.

You may hire 1 lady spy per level for the last 5 levels

They require - pay in gc and maintanence like a daughter of wife

You get 1 report per day per lady spy.

- you get 1 report per day if spy is paid and happy, and a report matches your request.
If you are looking for a MoW and not one visits with one, you do not get an alternate report. You get a no luck statement.

Possible report requests

Gold bar shipment

MoW

Sotl

Player carryng more than 10 mil gc

Player carrying less than 500 gc

They can all look for different things, all the same thing, or mix and match but only 1 report per spy.

If you have 5 spies they can all look for gold bar shipments or 2 can look for bar shipments and 3 can look for Sotls ect.


At lvl 20 you now get 2 random Trademasters and random Spy Reports
- must be from players who has had a ship visit the port that day.


All reports are undercover

I suggest player is unaware that they have been spied, however this could be setup so their is a chance they will find out a report was taken

All thoughts, suggestions, additions, improvements welcome.

Intriguing proposal. I'll give it a +/-1 until more consideration is spent. I lean to more info being available if one wants to 'work' for it. Just what info that can be made available is the part under consideration...not the concept.

I too like this concept. I keep wavering back and forth between, should it be a hideout building or a new port building (when port buildings are released). Could it tie into the Inn Keeper idea somehow.

Right now, with out seeing Port Buildings I would say Hideout is best.

I suspect CJ would make that call to the type of building it would be and how it was made available.
Expanding on what info could be made available, I'll submit-

1. Special Fleet Names that have distinguished battle record but not the owner of the fleet. eg: " The war fleet "Special Consensus (#60375) was seen entering Tortuga 6 hours ago and is docked".

2. Notable high fame/pirates who have been seen in the tavern(s) of Avonmora. eg: "Tom Lowe was seen in Prote one hour ago." One would assume he has a war fleet docked there. It could also be the reverse as in " Tom Lowe was seen leaving Prote 1 hour ago".

3. Gold Bar shipment arrival or departure but no names or fleets mentioned.

I'm looking for ways to take a small bit of info and put it with some of the other tidbits of info that can be had from tavern gossip and lit up fleets that can aid in seeing a clearer picture of what is happening in Avonmora in general

my thought as well.

opening a brothel in a port should have some requirements and consequences.
  1. not in the port where your wife lives
  2. keeping a mistress happy with rings and necklaces (daily drop of 30% 7 automatic consumption of relevant cards)
  3. own fleets linger a minute longer in that port
  4. 0.01% chance that an officer goes AWOL
  5. 0.5% chance that a fleet causes danger to herself due to blind officers

I very much like the idea of getting a few small pieces of information that could be useful with some additional effort on the players part.
I am feeling you concept is not providing quiet enough, while mine is providing a bit to much.

1. Special Fleet Names that have distinguished battle record but not the owner of the fleet. eg: " The war fleet "Special Consensus (#60375) was seen entering Tortuga 6 hours ago and is docked". - I like this one remember the nature of the concept, this would work better as
a crewman or crewmen from The war fleet "Special Consensus" are spending good coin on our ladies. They have been here for over 6 hours.

2. Notable high fame/pirates who have been seen in the tavern(s) of Avonmora. eg: "Tom Lowe was seen in Prote one hour ago." One would assume he has a war fleet docked there. It could also be the reverse as in " Tom Lowe was seen leaving Prote 1 hour ago".
I like this one also strong enough variation from gossip page to be useful. Tom lowe has been chatting up the barmaid for over an hour now, better go to the cellar and get a few more bottles of rum.

3. Gold Bar shipment arrival or departure but no names or fleets mentioned. to vaugue it's not useful enough add a slight bit more information.
I would say Egyptian sailors are upstairs with the girls right now, they were complaining about the weight of the cargo crates they have been shipping.

I like this but this would need to be a port building not a hideout. Primary reason is players have hideouts in the same port. With it being a port building, players can than pay for the services it offers, with the earnings going to the port.
