Yes Magpie did get much more useful that will be reflected in the value of the card as I anticipate its market value would skyrocket. On the otherside a player can only hold so many as they arent always useful in every situation. How many card slots do you want to sacrifice for Magpies? That would depend on your ventures and desired build.

Sure some will lose a chunk of what they have accumulated over the years, myself included. However the largest flaw here is players need to begin thinking about the betterment of the game when discussing ways to improve it and in doing so drop the biased approach most tend to have regarding what they may lose in the short term.

I have spent money here sure, and "TONS" of time. Now things are boring and nearly dead, if i have to take a cut in anything to bring back that thrill and engaging competition that i invested so much into at the beginning then its a win. To not act and improve the game in a way so many of us need causes most of us to lose more of our original investments than a cut here and there as we'd have a new and stronger desire to keep going.

** Not to mention that would be the first step to moving into a more mechanical system for battle, nations etc as voodoo then becomes more scarce, and limited making it a support factor. ;)

the idea of having 1500 ships on the water and not be at risk or introduce game mechanics to make it safer is garbage
go look at the value of your ships now go convert that to credits
you have made fleets your priority and you are now a target
thats great for an active player who can defend
but the idea you should be safe at any point while that large is just garbage
and even more garbage for those who log in just to keep ships running

what you choose as a career in pg should reflect the time you are willing to spend here
if you want to run 500 fleets thats great as long as your active
but for those who want to log in every couple days for huge profits you are choosing a career outside your means (time being the means)

hell lets run pirates and privateers on auto and just set them to automatically attack the top 10 players daily
and let them log off and come back in a couple of days to collect the loot
garbage idea right?
so is the idea of huge profit being earned safely with little time invested you know log in check fleets every couple of days bank some cash
and your done
blame it on voodoo all you want but in the end your little time spent here has an appetite bigger than it can handle

sure there are a million ways to improve the game but this idea that fleets need to be safer isnt one of them
voodoo intended for hitting warehouse ... gone... simply because you could see where others were selling resources to other players
another example of make it safe because we want profit with no risk

you want to limit voodoo okay i can go with that just as soon as you limit how many fleets you can run by time spent on the game
every hour equals one fleet OH that wouldnt work right it doesnt fit in the plan of protect us while we bank 10s of millions daily
the limits always come in the form of protecting merchants... lol... s**k it up


look at your own style of play and find limits for that instead of always suggesting nerfing a style you dont play im pretty sure it will be a lot more silent then

The idea regardless of how much money is spent, is for it to be a game for active players it was never meant to be a get rich while logged off game

This topic was meant to see how other feel about making voodoo a part of the game, not "THE" game. I would love to see it where there are bunches of fleets, bunches of pirates, sea battles for ports, land battles for ports and voodoo plays a role in it all.

I do see your point. It does take a lot more time and resources to build large fleets, politic and develop voodoo chests at the same time, and reinvest in damaged fleets and not everyone has time for that level of play. So im guessing your opinion is things are just fine the way they are, thats cool, not everyone sees a need for change.

To add to Vanes ideas, you wouldnt need to delete anything, what if you just couldnt add more till you used, sold or deleted stock to the new set levels? Then no one would be out of any spending and it would be their choice what to discard/use, when and how. It would go eventually and those who rely heavily on voodoo for game play can be slowly brought in.

my opinion is quite clear develop game mechanics to add new features that enhance the game
and quit being greedy look at shm and others who have maxed hideout mechanics and are "empires"
they have invested years of time resources and gold under current game mechanics and worse ones from before my time
like unlimited turns to go with the voodoo

then you get those here with a year or less who feel entitled to unchallenged millions
and wish to change the mechanics to make an empire without the blood sweat and tears
if you are looking for fair then pay your dues like all the big ones have

Wouldnt work mate. Imagine those with large chest using the primary cards they do. Until their chest dropped below the cap they couldnt replenish the stock of usable cards. A deletion system would be necessary for that. It would also be necessary to allow players to construct their desired chest build rather than fill up on garbage that they never use and wont sell.
