Ghost Fleets Attacked!

A recent unwelcome development in Avonmora has been the number of 'Ghost Players' - those who have no ships but large stacks of voodoo. They have been preying on honest traders, ravaging their fleets. Their sole reason for existence is to cause havoc and destruction. Some are cat's paws of established players, carrying out their bidding and vendettas. Some, it has been rumoured, are multiple accounts.

They act like ticks, sucking the blood from players who want to make something of the game. The fact that they haven't the patience or intelligence to build up honest-to-goodness fighting fleets suggests that they'll soon bore and leave. However, in the meantime this kind of trolling is driving good people away from Avonmora.

Cynics have suggest that Admin has no interest in curbing these scum - after all they get their voodoo by buying credits. We at the Somers Isles Observer don't believe that. Today the folllowing announcement has been made:

Mechanism Update
-If during the daily update, you have no ships, you lose 50% of your fame.
Details: viewtopic.php?p=19034#p19034
Announced at October 20, 2015 (Day 1135). It will be implemented after October 23, 2015 (Day 1138 or greater)
(Applicable to anyone that has 1 000 fame or more)

Will this work, or will we just see a burgeoning of One-Cutter Players? Who knows? But remember - Read it here first!

Sometimes the cutter is the only ship some may want visible. There was in fact a hideout building, I believe the "private marina" designed specifically for hiding ones ships for protection. Don't worry, these ships are real and will be seen enough in the coming weeks. You'll just need to be quick enough to catch them ;).
