Recently, a new building has been added to Avonmora called the Academy. Young citizens planning to build a trade empire and older folks looking to invest here's the information about the academy that the current owners have shared.
Do you like what it has to offer?
~Shaydo: Yes, good range of technology it has available.
~Lodswe: For me the captains costed 5.7,now its down to 4.6 so yes defenitly worth it for me.
~ Stan Rogers: I am sitting "on the fence". Some technology will be helpful but I have not committed to any specific path to follow as yet as none really grabs my interest.
Any insights on what a new player should expect after constructing the building?
~Shaydo: There maybe a few technologies new players are interested in, depends on what there style is. Due to cost some are worth it, others not so, with any of them look long term return.
~Lodswe: Many interesting technologies.
~Stan Rogers: If you have a hideout, the academy offers improvements to many aspects of gameplay. Again, to have Academy, will allow development in some specific area beyond what people who do not have academy can do.
Academy Technology
1. Piracy
Each level gives +3.5k bonus income from any successful plunder or skirmish ATTACK (not successful defence). The extra funds are paid by the game (not the player who lost).

2. Storage Contracts
Each level decreases Warehouse Upgrade Level costs by 2%

3. Skirmish Tactics
Each level gives an extra Skirmish point per day

4. Shipwright Management
1% less gold coin cost per level at shipwright ship costs. Ship level upgrades cost 0.5% less per level.

5. Warehouse Tycoon
Manual resource purchases at Port Markets directly to Warehouse cost 1% less (0.125% less for Gold Bars) per level

6. Political Science
Each level increases Influence gained through Build Up port by 2%

7. Metallurgy
2.5% per level bonus on each ship's Iron Scantling (PvP only)

9. Education
Decreases research time by 2% per level. Decrease is applied right after Academy decrease.

Increases all Galleons type ships speed by 1.5% per level. (Travels Faster / Bonus also applies in PvP Battles)

11. Officer Contracts
Each level decreases Officer hiring costs by 2%

Thanks for the reviews mates. Also, those are all the eleven (11) currently available technologies that you can research. At level one (1) the will cost only gold coins but for level 2+ it will require gold bars.
