Banks to-do

This is meant to act as a guide for the development team.

Bank Development
Bank Slogan

Ideas without a topic yet:
-Forced minimum fee in favor of banks for send payment, bigger than 0% (ie, 0.25%)
-Bank approval by nation officials (useful for Loan Insurance probably)
-Bank Operation Ban/Freeze from nation officials
-Nation Law with limitations on who can become a Banker (ie title requirement)

Anything missing or anything that needs to be added and does not have a topic (and does not deserve one perhaps due to its small size) please post here. If it has a topic, simply share the link.

+1 to moving.. somewhere it can be referenced?

I think there was a discussion about Collateral for not paying loans and risk assessment for loan offers at one point

Title requirements for becoming a Banker? Then you must decide how to handle this if the banker goes pirate, or changes nation. What if the new nation requires you to be a duke to be a banker - will your bank "freeze"? There are several issues to handle if that is to be implemented.

I don't agree with nation decision of who becomes a banker or not as hideout is a personal place that ea player decides to invest in or not. That's like taking away your freedom of game play.

I think that the idea is to limit the number of nationally funded banks. You could still operate a bank and be a banker but you would be running sort of a black market bank where you assume the risk with no backing from the nation you belong to. This could lead to some great game implementations for banking down the line.

Maybe there can be an option where banks that are selling credits are only shown, or banks that are buying credits are only shown.

Ramen, that was a very simple, yet good idea. Would be much better than visiting all banks to see who sells and buys at the best rate (***Hark - a stock market system of some sort might have been even better - Hark***).

Actually a stock market system would be great. You could see the fluctuation of credit value, ships values in credits, and card values in credits.
