We have decided to put a vote to see where most stand on this. We want to build a momentum to the game. A momentum where everyone will get more interested in the game and more excited every day. To do this, we want to implement a lot of new features in the game in short time.
We are not always in the best position to know your needs, therefore we want your feedback. I hope for large participation in small time
Here are the features. All timeframes are the worst case scenario unless specified otherwise. A 4 weeks timeframe might take 1 week if everything goes favorably as its true estimated time is about 2 weeks.
1)New Hideout Building: Academy
Estimated time for this, is about 3-4 more weeks. Some work has already been done and it is the leading choice right now. The biggest problem here is to decide the technologies that will be included in the first version. More details are needed, such as technology and building costs.
2)Ship Specialization
This is a major and huge feature that consists of a lot more smaller features. We know now that it is unrealistic to implement it right away. We will implement it slowly by implementing the smaller features it contains.
Two of the sub features it contains and can be started even today are:
Pirate Flagship - About 2 weeks
Special Crew and First Mate - About 2 weeks
3)Monthly stats/awards/rankings feature
Estimated time for this, is about 2-4 weeks.It is a prequisite for Avonmora Herald restart
4)New Hideout Building: Shipwright
We are not so hot on doing this now as we first want to see how the ship market will do. I am only puting this for reference. Even if it gets #1 it will get a lower priority.
5)Pirate Code wars
This will need about 4 weeks at most. This feature is the basis for bounties and bounty board. Bounties and bounty board will need about 4 more weeks.
6)Nation Diplomacy
Peace/War/Nap/Alliance treaties, scripted, between nations and secondary, between guilds.
About 3-4 Weeks
7)More missions for newcomers/Ability for anyone to propose missions to another
About 4 weeks
8)Add your own or pick one of any other of the existing ideas at the forums.
The voting poll is different than the options given here. The options in the list represent our own realistic shortlist. Options that are omitted are either omitted due to compatibility (some features need others first) or due to their very long development time (they need more work for now which we are not ready to give now for 1 feature)
