Excuse me for the double post, but it is a different suggestion and it needs to be on separate post.

-Swarm of Worms stops auto repair.
-Swarm of Worms deals 8 damage per hour, for 24 hours.

Alternatively,
-Swarm of Worms stops auto repair.
-Swarm of Worms deals 0.14% damage per minute, for 12 hours.


In this way, we avoid excessive repair costs.
If we keep auto repair on it could combo well with Hands of Gold but perhaps we will need to lower damage per minute and not go for full ship damage.

Btw, how much it costs to repair a 99% damaged ship of the line ?

Other things need to be taken into account and changed before this is implemented

For example.. with this I would be unable to attack trade fleets with my two brig fleet I use more than twice an hour!
Which would then require me to build stronger ships to win more without taking as much damage

And due to the call levitahan card stronger ships are completely useless

Also.. shouldn't it be an amount of hitpoints repaired per minute so smaller ships repair faster?? :geek:

I believe it's 7,200 ish to repair a SOTL.

I like the suggestion that the Swarm stops the auto repair and deals a little damage each hour. It would have a very good purpose- you cast this when you want someone open to plundering for a longer period of time. I think removing auto repair AND doing 192% damage would be TOO powerful. 96% damage over 12 hours (8% damage each hour) sounds about right in addition to stopping auto repair.

Yeah! Smaller ships should repair faster! that makes combat ships smaller than a SOTL more useful but the SOTL are still useful for a huge hit every 2 hours.

The solution to the problem you propose here could combo well with special ship attributes. For example, we could make Brig of Wars to have a special attribute FAST repair.

That sounds like it would work, although I am using frigates now lol. Points/time would make weaker ships repair faster, but regardless that ability would be great for one of the ships. Maybe it could even be a secondary ability multiple ships have.

Also I was thinking expensive tools might be better if it was changed to slow down repairs for a fleet once this is implemented. Maybe swarm of worms should only affect a single fleet
