Training Guilds Wanted

Ahoy,
There are currently not enough active training guilds to facilitate newcomers.
The best way to be able to tell this is to check Recently Joined pages. There is a large number of players of 100 fame or more that are without a guild. Especially when you see players with 200 fame or more, then these can be players that have logged in for their second time and they are still without a guild.
The game needs training guilds to recruit and help these new players in order to further grow its playerbase which is something essential for the game longevity. If you are part of a training guild already, please consider improving your recruitment procedures. If you are an experienced player, please consider creating a new training guild.
Thank you,
Captain Jack

Looks like farming training Guilds wasn't a good idea after all. Ah, those glorious times when people were forced to leave by pestering. So much fun!
I had to say this.

Lets balance with something positive tho.
Here's a good quote from Black Sparrow:
-Trainer Path-
You can name it as instructor, sensei, whatever. The essence is the same; all your time, wealth and turns should go to the training of other players. This is also a good retirement path. If you are close to retirement, then first consider this. Myself, I have been training players ever since I left my first guild, PK.
Never at my full strength though and I must confess that lately, my wealth mainly goes to my personal interests - I am trying to correct this. A dedicated trainer is much more effective. This is a role you could partly follow, like I do.
After all, it is very rewarding to train new players. Let's be sincere though; New players REQUIRE training. If you spend some time with a player, odds are that he will be around again to learn and play more. If not, the odds are that he will desert the game. PG seems too complicated and not shiny at all to most newcomers.
So, if none spends some time with them, the recurring rates will drop and ultimately, the game will decay. I have seen this happening to at least 5 favorite games in the past. Games that are now either closed or so underplayed to a point that I cannot even consider returning. I am sure most of you have been through a similar experience in the past. I just do not want to see PG following the same fate after some years.
There are many ways to train someone. Choose your own. Whether you escalate it to a full path or not, is up to you.

Perhaps them training guilds; were using stupid fleet configurations and low purses?
Agreed one should not over-farm to the point of leaving, however if one fly's a stupid fleet configuration and a low purse for what he has... I will have no remorse, nor should any other pirate looking to make a profit...

Is it not possible to provide a tutorial path that spits out players who are game ready?
In essence I am an advocate of the greater good, but providing basic game skills is the game's job, the refinement is what the player base do

Training for what?
In truth if I was to be an honest teacher in this game I'd limit my lessons to building 20 fleets of traders and tell them to ignore everything else as it will never be as profitable as those 20 fleets.
More accurately... nothing will ever be allowed to be more profitable than 20 trading fleets.

the rest are just liabilities most of the time without a strong guild to protect them anyway

I think that a specified training guild serves as nothing but a haven for players. There is nothing that a training guild can do that a non-training guild can't. In that sense, I think this should be more of a call for guilds to take a more active part in recruiting new players.
I also think that there should be some updates to the invite process. At minimum the Invite Message should be definable at and by each Guild. I don't like the default message and I hate having to copy and paste an alternate message each time. The message would still be editable before being set, but the base message would be guild defined.
