Ahoy all,

We are in need of Forum Moderators that will undertake the specific tasks:
1)Keep Player Guides up to date. They will need to edit existing player guides and also make cosmetic changes to them. Merge or delete them, if need be.

2)Go through Game Discussion topics.

Their task will be to read every topic. Once read, they will need to judge them and distribute them as following:
->Merge with another existing discussion that goes around the same issue.

->Move topic to Archives and then:
-->Create a new game discussion topic that is more clean and tidy and goes about the same issue.
-->Create a game suggestion based on the discussion topic.
-->Post in the topic that he just moved, why it is not a viable idea for the game.

3)Go through Game Suggestion topics.

Their task will be similar to Game Discussion topics. In this case, they will need to distribute topics in the following threads:

1)Approved
2)Disapproved
3)Law Suggestions
4)Suggest a new Curse
5)Approved Cards
6)Disapproved Cards

Newer topics (6 months or earlier) where the moderator is unsure, should be left in the suggestions thread but the moderator should still look to help if able by making cosmetic alterations and helping the discussion.

Older topics (Older than 6 months) must be redistributed. If the mod is still unsure then Disapproved is the answer.

This team will be able to use the open Development thread and our Slack Channel to cooperate with the rest of the team members.

Applicants Profile
=====================

We are interested only for Veterans at this stage. If you do not consider yourself a veteran, do not apply.
In contrary to FB mods, there will be no rewards for this category.

The reason is that we want the players who fill these positions to be genuinely interested to help the game and its development, which is a long and hard process.

We also expect a fair share of commitment to the role. Players who end up being in the team just for the title will be removed at no further notice. Still, the fair share of commitment should be natural enough to allow you to do this in parallel to your gaming role.

We do intend to pass the whole development procedure to the playerbase in the future. Which means that we will only code what you decide. To succeed into this, sooner or later we will have to extinguish a few among the team who will assume leading roles. This procedure will take place once such players are found and proven through this procedure.

Sounds like too much work.

This is definitely something that is needed and I'm all in for. Playing the game in and of itself doesn't require much thought when you have been playing for a while. Development is a thinking mans game and is something that I enjoy doing.

It is much work. However, if there are many people actually engaging, this can be reduced significantly. Right now, I have been doing this alone and if you want to read every single post, it is too much work indeed.

Like dezNutz is saying though, this can be an avenue for the veterans. The game needs new content anyway and veterans can not only help us create this new content but also keep themselves engaged while doing this. It's a win win scenario for all. Not to mention that you will end up getting something you definitely like. Instead of getting something you are not sure you like.

It has been proved that our current system was good when the playerbase was smaller. Now, we need a better system and this is what we are organizing here, in essence. The rest of the players will still be able to participate but this time, instead of having just me to read through and judge everything, you will have a group of veterans.

That's the essence of the idea of what we are trying to achieve.

We have now 4 pre-approved members of the new Player Dev Team.

All have been short interviewed and are ready to being. I am looking for at least one more, so if you are interested, PM me. Slack usage (Click the chat icon at the instant messenger bottom bar, it is 3rd from the left ) is a requirement as this is what the team will use for instant communication.

The team will start even if no more are pre-approved in Monday. There will be an official announcement declaring the first members in it, as well as a short description on what to expect and what difference it actually makes for them.

Recruiting will then remain open till the first leaders are picked. Once we have 3 leaders in place, then the recruiting will be passed to them.

The ideal starting team number is 10. Once we have 3 leaders, the team could grow to 15 for a total number of players involved at 18. The team should never grow beyond this number though and only those that really worth it and try for this will remain in the group. The rest will still be able to participate in the discussions, either in slack channel or at forums but will not have decision rights.
