Here is the new schedule (an index for both dev team and players) of forthcoming implementations. Feel free to discuss and make your own proposals. We will take all opinions in mind.
Listing by priority:
1)Hideout HQ - Special Buildings - Gold Resource
-Basic Implementation is complete.
-Design is complete, only a few details remain.
-Graphics are finished by 75%.
-What remains are a few mechanisms (still a lot of work remains though).
-Due to personal problems of our main developer (as well as the feature size), the implementation has been delayed. We will try to launch this in June 15th.
2)Bank System
Although Banks will be a building added to the Hideout, the feature is huge, therefore we will develop it separately. If everything goes as planned, it will finish within June.
3)Ship Specialization
-Check the url for summarized details.
-This feature is a major game changer, we believe it will be a huge improvement.
-The battle system will be heavily affected as a result.
-Some details still remain open, your contribution is needed.
-It will open the gap between trading and war fleets.
-You need to plan ahead for this feature. Our suggestion is to save gold coins, master craftmanship cards and damage cards (especially for Flagships).
4)Pirate Code Wars
-The bankers are going to need this earlier but we cannot have war regulations when the battle system will need improvement. This is why the priority of Ship Specialization is greater.
-Pirate Code wars will not be obligatory; in contrary it will be voluntary. However, we will design them in a way that they will be preferrable. Separate statistics (among other) will come along with them to achieve this.
-A bounty system will be also added (Right NOW, you can still do BOUNTIES either Publicly through Tavern or Privately through PMs. A new system that will conceal the hired hand and the contractor will be introduced to encourage the usage).
-This feature as you can see is still in discussion. This means that shortly I will create a full suggestion topic where everyone will be able to contribute. Till then, use the Discussion topic to add your ideas.
-We might add War diplomacy for both guilds and nations (most probably during the nation addon expansion).
-There is a high probability that 4) and 5) will switch priority in order to let the Nation Control addon for 1.9, right before v2.0
5)Stat/awards/rankings feature
We are choosing this over game news for now. Till then the schedule might change. It will all depend on the implementation speed and the game needs at the time.The reason is clearly the world age; players need to know their stature among other player more than they need to know daily gossip. Both are important and we will definitely try to push whichever remains in 2.1
In between, we will surely add gameplay and interface improvements where needed while most definitely there will be yet another Nation Control feature addon. Law additions and Voodoo additions will still take place normally. Especially for LAWS, additions will start AFTER the implementation of the BANK system.
This schedule will bring the game to version 1.9 (with the nation control addon - we will see which chapter we will cover this time). The 1.8 and 1.9 versions will be very long as we will need to add more Hideout Buildings, more functionality, balancing implementations and a lot more.
After this, for V2.0 we will have to consider which will be the next ultra major feature. The candidates right now are IC extension and Foot Battle. A new game interface (old will be retained) AND a new interactive world map where you will be able to track your ships live! must not be ruled out.
