Very drastic reprocusions for being on the wrong side of the balance I describe in my guide, which is why I should win the prize for identifying and defining the early roles and balances you must strike.
I myself made god awful mistakes, catastrophic problems in the "opening" as we say in chess. So much so I contemplated quitting and starting over.
Luckily Maj, who gets no credit whatsoever for being a good teacher and good guy, took me under his wing enough to get my wings spread. I am genuinely and non brainwashed greatful for the true pirate king.
Being a pirate, as I am, is nearly impossible in some ways--you don't even have access if you could afford it to MOW for example. So NO MATTER WHAT, a true pirate, that is a pirate as country, will always be at some disadvantage in direct warfare.
This requires careful planning, voodoo, etc--we need more help. How about an extra "Pirate card" each 12 hours?
How about some pirate ability to see into trade routes without voodoo?
How about a completely different system for fame? ALL too often I pull off a spectacular raid, only to have the fame syphoned off by heavies--what did they do?
I could go on and on, but actual pirates in this game could use a break....
