For you to know Roileon, you don't see much pirating because it isn't worth showing you.

Ah, the Crimson Assurance :)

Well, looking at what the accountancy types have managed to do to the world economy whilst banking very large bonuses for their efforts... I'd say we can only dream of being that profitable..

This is why all big companies (Google,Facebook,etc) never give ETAs. We avoid them as well.

The feature will need more time. I will not give another ETA, we will not rush it and our main developer continues to have issues that prevent him from working full time. I understand that you are all anxious about it, I am probably more than you, but we can only wait at this moment.

I can tell you though that there has been progress. The development continues and the feature has extended in size in compare to our original intentions.

Do you discuss how well the game is doing financially for you? Is it worth hiring a back up?

I'm sure if you started a coding post, you might even get people to help out for free...not sure if that really works though.

Anyway, best of luck, I hope we can keep interest high in the meantime--maybe a contest? Top trader and raider for july get some credits? Throw in some funky prizes like most actions, maybe pick some odd fame target like 1,234,567 that you get a prize if you have your fame exactly at that number at the end of the week...

I don't know, I don't mean to micromanage, I just sort of feel a little ebb in game flow right now, not much really going on and maybe we can fix that with some non code fixes.

Or I guess I could start another war:)

If it would help I'm sure a lot of people can/will be interested in beta testing for you. Just to test the gameplay. Not sure if that's feasible but it can all run in a sub beta server.. A bit related but it might be a good idea to have a solo (anonymous + no guilds!) server for those who want to try pirating on their own. Best of luck to the main developer.

Hmm, or some kind of attack limit of the number of time a guild can hit a solo member, that would be awesome...then we can all play on same server.

How about a Death Match Server : Fixed cost buy-in : Solo play only: All start with same amount of voodoo and credits : Only way to get more is to use helpful voodoo, trade the market or from daily gifts; so no coining advantages, just what you can make in-game : Any player with zero ships for 24 hrs is booted : Any player inactive for more than 3 days is booted : Any player with less than 25 fame for 24 hrs is booted : and whatever other wrinkles might make for a scenario in which if you dont fight you go under. last player standing gets a shiny badge and a new hat...

personally, I'd buy-in for that.
