Yes, you are correct. Was thinking that it would add hostility to the other nation as well. Although, if actions are adding hostility to your own nation, shouldn't it also add hostility with the nation the action occurred against.

That would make sense to me. Something for the admins to decided on I think. My question was whether or not Conspiracy, Propaganda, and Black Death will count as aggressive cards to incur hostility with ones own nation depending on the laws adopted.

War between paraguay and IoM. Message states - war has been declared between IoM and Paraguay on day....
It also shows options to stop war and cease fire

That's because Nieu also declared war. This is why the first declaration is invalid as the new declaration is the valid one. The problem here lies that Nieu was able to declare war when already at war. This is that needs to be fixed.

@CJ: It says "the treaty has expired." Firstly, 'expired' could mean that the treaty has/had a fixed time frame or time limit after which it will expire regardless of whatever external events that occur(like a vote for a peace treaty). So, perhaps 'terminated' would be a better word like Stan suggested. Secondly, I had a bit of confusion as to what the treaty referred to because the only active 'treaty' that Niue had at the time of was a declaration of war with IoM, which is what I initially thought the word referred to. If it actually refers to the stance that I had before I declared war, then expired or terminated could be right. In that case, maybe the word could be qualified to say peace treaty, alliance, etc., so that we know what exact was canceled.

-King appoints Governors (current systems will be maintained - more details for this on a separate topic).

New rules:
-Laws will default to countries with Inactive council.

National diplomacy is useless unless the king or court as some sway or say over whom is in their nation.
If not it is simply a succession of random elements.

For the second time in a month I have just had a significant exchange of voodoo with someone who is allegedly a subject.
I don't mind the attack per se, but in even a mildly realistic world I would banish them from Spain.

This is a required feature or otherwise nations have no mechanism to control diplomacy as they can't have meaningful control over their own actions.

Not sure I fully agree. Nations historically always had spy’s, usurpers, etc. Those who conspired to overthrow rule and bring down current government. We have this in today’s world as well.

When caught however, as king, you can make thier life hell until they leave. How is up to you

Aye they did, but when caught they'd be jailed, executed, deported, none of which is available here.

I also believe that stronger protection for a nation is needed. Perhaps in the form of punishment of some sort for those caught working against the crown.

A tax levy on an individual, perhaps? Administered by vote of the full council and not to exceed a certain, but potentially significant, percentage of their profits on all endeavors and not to exceed a certain amount of time? They can bear it, for the duration, or leave the nation.

Checks would have to be put in place to ensure such a levy could only be applied to those who violate certain laws or transgress against alliances and treaties to an unacceptable level.

Same could also apply to nation members with outstanding debt. Levis administered from debt however would last until debt was paid.

A tax levy sounds good. Tho in my opinion when a peace treaty or alliance is signed, it is up to each nation to make sure it's members oblige. So I'd suggest a tax levy on the nation rather than the individual. That would give the nation an incentive to keep it's members in check
