Ah ok , sorry misread : Trained too many players today  Well I will say that ;)
Civilian:Are you insane? One pirate against trained pirates... Who do you think this man is? God?
My Leader: No. God would have mercy. He won't.

Captain Jack wrote:Now, for income, Pirates will have means to make more skirmish attacks than anyone else. We will find the ways. I estimate that the number can grow considerably for those that want to feed mainly on player fleets and disregard NPC plunder. About 24 points daily is perhaps the minimum I can imagine at this time (for pirates, not for Beta period but for a little later).

Here does PIRATES refer to the ones who carry the pirate flag ? If that's the case, a big -1 to skirmish. Every player with a low purse, less good ships and intelligence to make huge profits with that is a pirate. And all those kind of players must get this bonus.

As those flying the Jolly Roger do not recieve ship building or trade bonuses, nor do they collect taxes for ports they control, and they cannot use forced labor or military service curses, the only true perk for flying the Pirate Flag is the Skirmish Feature.

Due to the lack of Pirate Perks, very few fly that flag - the skirmish bonus is a long overdue bonus for the Pirate. This, along with the anticipated Ship Specializations will help the Jolly Roger compete for power and glory with the many nations flags over Avonmora.

SHM has the root point explained there perfectly.

If I wanted to add more, I would say that we will offer specialization to Skirmish in some way. Players will be able to use such specialization to increase Skirmish points. Pirate flag will simply offer EXTRA specialization to this direction.

So while with any nation flag you will be able to get like 12 skirmish per day (numbers used are completely random - I have no idea what numbers we will use eventually), the Pirate flag should perhaps allow double, let's say 24 skirmishes per day.

20 days have passed since I have given the finalized details for Skirmish. More than enough time for everyone to comment and suggest on them.

We will give the feature an implementation day. Friday 12 to Saturday 13.
You may continue to comment no matter. Everything is taken into consideration.

I feel that the preparation time has been more than enough and everything has been carried in order for this feature: Discussion with lots of time, suggestions with lots of time and now an implementation day with time ahead to prepare.

Speaking about preparations, the players who carry/trade gold bars are the ones who mostly need to prepare as their fleets will most probably will be targetted.

An update on first page design:

Gold Bars loot solution finalized
-Attackers will loot the gold coins equivelant of gold bars carried.
-The price will be calculated based on attackers port price. Duke Bonus will be applied. Nation fees will be normal.
-The attacker's port will receive the gold bars once the succesful plunder is over.

Futurely, (in the near future) we will add an option to the attacker to keep the gold bars instead of auto sale.
The reasons as to why we are not doing so right now are plenty and are mostly based on frustrating gameplay which we want to avoid.

Eventually, after much consideration, we ended up that instead of leaving open issues here, it would be best to finalize it by storing looted gold bars to attacker's warehouse. Then he can choose what to do them.

just a thought : will skirmish wins/losses be counted towards overall win/loss totals?

Interesting point. Perhaps they need a separate counter. We will separate them now, before release.

Aye, I think that would be good, and add another challenge for players with another top10 to aim at perhaps?
