If a
treasury was tied into whoever the guildmaster designate's via the
guild management options, and the GC came from the players themselves, through membership, plunder taxes, plunder insurance premiums, reclaimed dead accounts or straight up donations from members.
This
treasury could fund new player support, incentive bonuses, rewards on 'Wanted' player strikes, hired proxy fighters or Mercenaries. Larger the
guild= larger the
treasury income and more abilities for rewards and incentives.
Plunder tax could be variable from 0 to a number. This could spark competition between guilds to compete for the new player base by offering discounts, sign-up bonuses, low tax rates etc. Many of these things, given the mechanism to operate, will develop within a
guild and no two guilds would have the same set of hard rules other than the fact they have a
treasury and they can control it.
I really have not given much thought to how something like this could be abused but I am sure more devious minds than mine could come up with a few ways.
