I need your help with this. Please have your guild members work on this if you want any say in the matter. Creativity of this type is outside of my box. Please help find a name for the current realm of Pirates Glory that you are playing in. I will most likely choose the name that I consider the best from those you offer but I will consider how likely it is to be well received by all of the denizens of the realm. If one name is very popular, it will likely be tho one I choose. It is your world. It is your right as a citizen of Pirates Glory to have a say in its naming. I will not keep this right from you. Think well. Think of what you enjoy most when you play. Think with your heart and soul. Think of what is best for everybody.
Thank you for you contributions.

I won't offer a name until I get some input from other players. I could care less if it ever changes. The game still plays the same with or without a map label. I said that it would have been best to place this contest where it would reach more players and now we have no names to give. The public forums get such a small percentage of player participation. So 54 votes were cast for the next big feature. That implies that 27 players have voted. How many players are active in the course of a month? Please do as I asked and submit this to every player and not just to those who visit the tavern and public forums. Do you think players visit the tavern for information about the public forums? I believe I am in the minority because I do. Some notice and respond but that number is very low. I suspect that most go to the tavern for info about other players' trade routes and fame/influence and other game statistics. You could send out a public announcement that lets players know that there is good information in the public forums and that they can affect the game by more than just playing. You could tell them that the entrance to the public forum is in the tavern. If it fails to gain participation, how much effort will have been wasted? I know that public announcements are possible because I have received them. Some things are worth telling everybody about.

The IMO have taken this seriously and have had a big in guild discussion. We have had about 30 suggestions and the top three voted on collectively as a guild were :
Avonmora, Aqua Lagoona and Atlantia.
Everyone should be taking part in this as it was asked to be a collective effort by active players. If no one voices opinions then no one ever knows there are problems. It is like complaining about the president but not going out to vote.

It would be good to know what each means.

Aqua Lagoona in exact translation means Water Lagoon
Atlantia reminds me of Atlantis and this sounds bad imo.
Avonmora, what it means ? Sounds Portoguese.

It would be nice to write the rest of the ideas your guild had.

We are looking to name the world, so names that include Sea are excluded. We could set a sea name as well but we will still need a world name, which is our current priority.

Common world name found everywhere, are usually words that mean land. For example, Middle Earth (used in Lord of the Rings novel) or Terra (Spanish word for land, used in many games) or Gaia (ancient Greek word for Earth, used in many games and novels).

Such however sound somewhat ankward. We would like something else. A good example would be Caribbean although completely unfitting for us, as our world is a fantasy one.

From the proposals so far, Avonmora sounds promising but we will need to know what it means.

Trafalgar compiled an interesting list and I could see he has a gift in naming. Perhaps with the directions above he will be able to come up with more ideas, more suitable. If we were looking to name our sea or parts of the world, I find these proposals excellent.

Hopefully, more people will participate.

Finally, some clarification is needed here. Xepshunall has won the privilege to select the name but he has chosen to bring this up to public. This is okay for us however;
-We will not wait forever. We have already waited for a long time. We will do some more patience but if this process fails, we will give the solution.
-We will review every proposal and we will reject what we do not like, just as we announced here

We are in standby position for any questions you might have. We want to help the process. The more ideas we have, the better.

The best final model will be to get a bunch of ideas here. Then administration will filter the acceptable ones and finally either Xepsunall or a new voting topic (xepshunall decides as he won the mini contest) will decide the final selection.

Avonmora was the name that I proposed. It is Irish for "From the great river". I'm glad that you liked this one. I loved it myself.
