Gasp

The port of Gasp is claimed by myself. If any deem it necessary to test my announcement, do so. I will prevail in the long run. Perhaps the more important battle is Spain vs Barbados, and that is where those players should concentrate the efforts. Not good for the game if its all one sided, is it? Being King is so much better than being a Governor. Try it if you haven't yet. I welcome any discussion. Ask Majesty, Black Sparrow, Capt D, Davinci, RoiLeon, Skyhawk if you think my resolve is weak.....
Sincerely,
^..^
King of Somalia

At the moment Barbados has 11 of the 21 ports under its wing. I suggest that this be too much for the good of the game. A limit of 10 ports maximum to any one country. Thoughts???

10 is almost half of the ports. Maybe 7? (1/3 of total ports). And pirates should have a permanent port FYI. St. Martins has been taken by Barbados and most of pirates' advantages which use pirate controlled ports has been disabled.

What the hell am I reading here? If you want ports, earn them.

--" I'm not a pirate. Just want to suggest ways to benefit players. If there's no limit of ports which can be controlled by a nation one day one's going to claim all ports, every players change their nationality for port benefits and the rest.. Well, I believe you can finish the sentence yourself. And pirates'll have no ports to rely on thus there'll be very few amount of pirates. Not really fun I say. (A bit off topic. This should be posted in Suggestion instead lol)

My message was aimed at both. Nicko, pirates can increase their influence, right? I don't see the problem. Look at Dungeness, Sparrow, the OP.. They have kept their ports for so long now. I don't know if you remember but Spain had no ports (playerbase) at all before Rolando started working towards it. It's not impossible, you just need to have the right attitude :)

I never remember. Because I didn't witness it (I'm a bit new) :D . As for Gasp, I think Lefty wants to secure his port (which, in fact the least nation influence a port has amongst other ports) with threat rather than increasing his influence. He doesn't have any nation players to support with influence. Same as my nation :(

every port as of now is literally a function of how many propaganda cards/charity donations a player is willing to purchase.... its a weird and limiting feature. ..

makes building influence a quest element and burdensome.

Nicko,
Could you stop with the crystal clear view of things. You are entirely right. I was attempting to influence Gasp by my words. I wanted to see who would challenge me face to face (openly) rather than behind the scenes.
Side note..
Good to know others ( even Maj) think the influence system is faulty.
