Mate I don't need some dinky little wand to kill you or Vicril here. Nor did I say I wanted some cheap 3rd rate magic items. I can easily get better stuff from my family if I wanted something like that. What I want for payment is simple. Ya see I had another job I need to do while I'm here, and sadly I can't do it alone. Nearby is an old church. Mostly abandoned save for some unpleasant things that moved in. I have something I need to retrieve from it's basement that was stolen from my family. You help me get that back, I'll make you a list to help you try to escape. And maybe something else as a bonus.

Suddenly, everything in the tavern begins to tremble, slightly at first but then building in intensity, shakier and shakier, louder and louder the roar.. Tables and chairs begin to topple and the patrons are shook from their standing feet to the floor amongst their cries and shouts of fear...Wide eyed terror fills the tavern and many cover their ears for fear of bursting their eardrums. A loud noise, the sound like that of giant wings flapping vibrates through them all in the tavern and just as suddenly stops. There is silence once again as if nothing had happened. Deafening silence.
As the patrons of said tavern rise to their feet slowly and begin to raise their chairs to their tables the tavern doors burst open with blinding light.
A figure can barely be seen entering but all present know it is there. They can feel it. They can smell it. The smell of brimstone and frankencense imbues the air...

Yeah not gonna happen. What lies in that basement was stolen from my cousin's lair and belongs to my cousin. If I go and help someone else take it the whole family will be enraged. Hell they may even decide to kill me for such a betrayal. Wouldn't blame them honestly, I'd probably do the same.

Though I do find it humorous you would think you have any claim to what lies in there. Just what, pray tell do you think is in there? Because either you are insane to lay claim to what I seek, or there is some other item in there you're planning to take and believe I am after it as well.

As for what is in the basement the item which i seek returned to me, is many long centuries older than your cousin and our familys paths have crossed and battled many times before throughout history from whence time began! You have much to learn, Eloth.
We have played nice with you and your family for too long now...many years to lift the curses...many years to plan our revenge and the return of said item...

There are very few things that are deserving of my fear or respect-and you, are most certainly not one of them. I take it your some enemy of my mother, she certainly has made many of them over her very long life. Regardless the item you seek is not the one that I seek. I seek no artifact, or any item of any power. What was stolen from my cousin is simply something she holds deep affection for, albeit it some what disturbs even me-she really needs to let things go frankly, but I won't be the one to tell her that.

If my cousin did indeed have an item of yours that was also stolen, well that's her business. Not mine. The fact she hasn't told me to reclaim it as well means she either doesn't give a damn, or she plans to reclaim it herself. Regardless I don't care about you, my family has more then enough power and ties to handle anything anyone could throw at us. The white dog stops in it's tracks and thinks for a moment before turning around and quickly walks up to Eloth.

You can handle Vicril. Mistress Emily would probably prefer someone keep an eye on that voice. And frankly I believe I am better suited to the task then you.
